I had to have a temp through a Disney trip and it was ok. Just had to make sure I didn't eat anything too sticky or too hard. Glad it wasn't "worst case scenario"

Does the 'battery pack' look kind of like 2 AA's stuck together with a notch about halfway down one side? You MIGHT have another option.

Places like Osco and Walgreens have them. I find the Eveready Photo Lithiums last longer than their Duracell counterparts.

And they last a LONG time.

Hello to all you Christmas Cruisers!!

First, let me tell you... you guys are going to have a great time. We just got off the Magic in November and had an excellent time. I am sure some of you will have the pleasure of having Ronald as your server. He is from the Netherlands. He was the best server!!! Libor was his assistant. Ronald will take very good care of you. Would someone please be so kind and tell Ronald (The Flying Dutchman) that Jeanna (pronounced Gina), Rick, Colton & Justin all say hi! I have been trying to send him a picture but his email is full so it keeps coming back. You guys will actually be sailing on my birthday, so consider this a birthday wish. The christmas decorations were all put up during our cruise and they all looked wonderful!! You guys will have to have a live from the Magic thread so all of us at home can be with you in spirit. I am sure the festivities on the ship will be magnificent.

Does either of your books also specify a CRV3 as an option? It's a non-rechargable Lithium battery that I've had excellent success with. I alternate between rechargables and the CRV3's depending on needs. I'm going all CRV3 this trip so I don't have to fiddle with recharging things.

You also have the option of a specific type of AA too. It's from Eveready, it's a Photo Lithium, it's blue and silver. Lasts a LOT longeer than any other I've tested in my cameras.

Sorry...didn't read far enough. My book for the new Canon ONLY says the types listed BP511, etc. My Pentax uses the CRV3, and I found out by accident (camera shop in Vegas told me) that I could use 2 AA's in it. Granted, it wouldn't last as long, but it was a life saver, they didn't have the CRV3. I saw that Eveready at Target today, and almost brought it home to try....

If it'll fit in the camera, I'd be willing to bet it'd work. The Photo Lithium version of the CRV3 from Energizer does last a VERY long time.

Leslie....I am so sorry about Jessie.....similar to the tumor/cancer that my kitty had in her jaw. I finger fed her for months before realizing that her quality of life was miserable. I may never get another kitty. She was 13. My best friend has 2 of her daughters, so I get to see them all the time...but it usually just makes me cry to see them, even after all this time. It does get better eventually. And yes, I was glad that she wasn't suffering anymore, and when I look back at the last few pictures I took of her, I feel guilty, actually, for not letting go of her sooner. So sorry.

Mary...I guess that's good news. Good news would have been to not have to go to the dentist at all.......

I've had to travel with a temp, too..and did okay. I just didn't like knowing I had to come home and get it done, so at least you'll have it over with. Just lay there and dream of where you'll be in two days!

DM got the go from her cardio doc today. He said to take extra lasix along and if she got short of breathe or legs swelled to double up on it. and STAY AWAY FROM THE SALT
