LeiLani and Virgil......wanna share a Monorail back to the GF after MVMCP????? How unbelievably cool is THAT going to be? We can commandeer the front! Kinda like pirate: ing a T.O.P.!!

Hey, Virgil....since you have to stop and get DW Pepsi, and I have to stop and get MY Pepsi, why don't YOU just stop and get enough Pepsi for both of us???:teeth: :scratchin ::yes:: :love1: ;)

That would be a great picture for Mary's scrapbook :flower1:

Still waiting for DD to be ready to go.

I got one of my long sought after pins today, the Scuba Mickey DCL Artist Choice pin from July 2002. I've been trying to trade for it for two years, finally broke down and bought it on Ebay. That's one hole in my collection filled. Still missing the very first DCL AC pin, guess that hole is permanent. For you non-pin collectors, that one sells for about $150 on Ebay, and I just can't go there.

Why not contact the seller to see if there is anything the want that you might get on our cruise, that you could then trade/barter for it? I bet there are some special stuff for us dont you think?
The worse they can say is no thank you. :flower1:

Linda and Annie, my thoughts are with you -- so sorry for your losses.

Thanks, Dee. DH got back last night from Nevada. Said the services were very nice. Then came back to Utah and headed 2 hours south for graveside services. And it was snowing all day!

Oh well, one more week it will be 75 degrees!!!!

It got up to 77 here today. It's 74 right now. I actually had to turn the air on in the car after it had sat out at the grocery store! I wish the weather would make up it's mind.

Ditto! It is 54 here right now. 26 a couple of days ago.

Okay I'm going to go read your PM now!

Linda....I think my new camera is the same as yours..or close. What are my chances of finding a case for it at Target? I do NOT want to go to the camera store at the mall. Too far...
Also....do I have to use the battery pack? With my Pentax, I could use AA's in a pinch. Thanks. Oh...by the way..it's the Canon Power Shot Pro1

FOUND IT!

How old are your dogs? I know you said Jessie is getting up there. Our golden retriever, Sebastian, is about 12 years old. We got him from Golden Retriever Rescue when he was about 18 months old. He's starting to slow down and is really getting gray in the face.

Rex will be 12 in March. Tink & Woody are 2-1/2 (littermates) Jessie was 4-1/2... she had a rare form of cancer in her snout and we had to take her yesterday afternoon to be put to sleep, it had invaded her nasal cavity to the point where she was having difficulty breathing.  It's been a rough 4 months.

Diana - Congrats on the Scuba Mickey pin! I have that one... but there are SO many that I still need. The Walt Suite AC is one I've been after for a while. Hopefully we'll get some pins on this cruise that I can trade to fill the holes in my DCL AC collection.

Leslie, I'm so so sorry! I am a total dog nut, and I feel for you. I'm really sorry for your loss.

FOund what??? Oh..the battery that's in the camera is a BP511A but the book says it can take the BP511, BP512 or BP514.

Thanks Dee... DH and I are both devestated at the moment... she was a very special dog. We have her babies Woody & Tink so she lives on in them.

Yeah...I know...but I just wondered...if we were in a real pinch. Out on an island somewhere, no stores with the battery packs...the charge on the pack is only good for three hours the book says.
Does the 'battery pack' look kind of like 2 AA's stuck together with a notch about halfway down one side? You MIGHT have another option.

Leslie - so sorry to hear you had put her down. Know that she is not in pain right now and will live on in your hearts and in her pups.

Leslie-so sorry about Jessie. They are the same as a member of the family. Our son-in-law just had to put their dog to sleep about 3 weeks ago and they are still devastated. They've decided to wait to get another dog and they are coming on the cruise, so probably a good decision to wait until at least afterwards.

Best case scenerio is that he can just fill the tooth with the compound and I'm done. Middle case - I need a crown and it will be done before we go. Worse case - I need a crown and have to have a temp on for the cruise.
The verdict is the middle. I need the crown and have a temp in right now. The crown will be ready Thursday morning! Talk about cutting it close. Thanks for all the good wishes!

Does either of your books also specify a CRV3 as an option? It's a non-rechargable Lithium battery that I've had excellent success with. I alternate between rechargables and the CRV3's depending on needs. I'm going all CRV3 this trip so I don't have to fiddle with recharging things.

You also have the option of a specific type of AA too. It's from Eveready, it's a Photo Lithium, it's blue and silver. Lasts a LOT longeer than any other I've tested in my cameras.
