Way to go Stacey!!

Nice post, and I thought I was doing good to get 600!! :cool1:

A good morning to all and a TOP to boot! pirate: pirate:

Lisa - bring the flip flops - be comfortable. I'm brining black sandals but they are new. As a back-up I have black satin slippers. I'm all for comfort!

TK - yeah what Mark said :D

Whew, glad I threw in my semi formal outfit from our first cruise! It's a sparkly top with velvet slacks. As I was walking in to work this morning, I started second guessing myself about the shoes I'm taking. Okay DISers, opinions please.

I have a pair of sparkly black flip flops (don't want to get that thong discussion started again!) and a pair of brown leather sandals. My plan was that for dinners that I wore sundresses or capri's, I'd wear the leather sandals, for the dressier dinners, I'd wear the flip flops. My formal is a long, full dress, so no one will see my shoes. I've got wide legged black pants to wear for the planned semi-formal. Again, should hide most of my shoes. The velvet pants are more close to the ankle though.

I do have a pair of dressy black sandals with 1" heels. I've worn them on cruises before. But DH is only about 1/2 inch taller than me, so I almost never wear heels. Should I take the heels, or just go with the flip flops?

Thanks!!!!

You're so cute - I am the LAST person to ask about shoes - but just had to add to this............. I take a small suit case with just shoes!!! A couple are my husbands' and sons' but the rest are for me!!! This drives my DH nuts!! Hey, we all have hang ups!

Gee, I guess that this should have been on the confessions section

That's the forecast for Cape Canaveral. Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day for cruising!

FOR EVERYONE GOING TO MVMCP ON THE 17TH!

I wanted to post this now, because I know we have some cruisers leaving for WDW soon.

I was thinking we could set up two meeting times. Our family is eating at LTT at 4:30 and I know there are several others dinning around that time also. So, I figures we could have a mini-meet at LTT around 4:30. Then I was thinking we could all meet up to watch Wishes at 9:15pm. A place suggested to me was the old Swan Boat landing(not sure where that is so I'll have to figure it out). I thought we could meet at 8:30 or 8:45 and then stay there to watch Wishes. What does everyone think?

If you are going to MVMCP and would like my cell phone number so we can meet up just PM me.

I have heard on this thread ( I think it was Mary ) that "Wishes" should not be missed.

Me being new....I assumed that it was a show in some sort of theatre. Is it?

Or can you see "Wishes" from different areas of the Park?????

Thanks

Gus

Good Morning Again.

Just back from taking Kristen to the orthodontist. She is still not feeling 100% but made her go to school.

Lisa- good question about the shoes, but I am afraid I am no help. Did I mention I waayyy overpack?? Bring what feels comfortable to you.

But I do have another shoe question. Is it okay to wear white sandals in the winter if you are on a cruise ship in the Caribbean??

Wishes is the new fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom. They will actually have a modified Wished on our MVMCP night---it is NOT to be missed.

I remember when they changed from Fantasy in the Sky to Wishes. I hate to see things go away at WDW (think Tapestry of Nations) but I was NOT at all disappointed in the chage. Wishes is incredible.

Gus - yes it was me that said Wishes is not to be missed. It is a fireworks show that takes place behind the castle, but the best place to see it IMHO is from in front of the castle. We've always done the rose garden which is why I suggested the old swan boat landing as a meeting place.

Wishes in its own right is wonderful, but the version done at MVMCP is even better! It is music, fireworks, and a color display on the castle. Not to be missed!

It makes me so sad that it's gone. We used to get our seats up to an hour early so we could get the bench right by where you could watch it twice---back to back. LOVE IT! errr....lovED it :(

Your opinion works for me.....so we will be sure to be in front of the castle at show time.

Thanks

If you can't wear white sandals on a cruise, when can you wear them?

White sounds good to me.

OK - for anyone that is interested I put up 6 of my scrapbook pages on the web site. Just go to where you would go for the newsletter and there is now a link called scrapbook.

Mary --- your pages look great!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: You are inspiring me to finish mine so I can start a new one for this cruise!!! I'm happy to see so many people are interested in scrapbooking --- so everyone won't think I'm crazy for taking so many pics!!!! I wish everyone lived close by -- think of the crops we could have!!! :flower:

How's your tooth??? I went to dentist the end of November as a precaution --- I have one tooth that is really sensitive to cold and sweets and I was afraid I might have trouble on the cruise. Turns out I have hairline cracks in my filling and I will need a crown, but I'm waiting until after the first of the year. My dentist gave me an anti-biotic to take while cruising to fight any infection -- he said that's what would cause any real pain and told me to begin using Sensodyne toothpaste.

Great Post Stacey!!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I think you really summed up what this past 18 months has meant to all of us!

Well - I'll be back tonight....

OK - Here's my agenda for the day - I have to fly to Pittsburgh and then fly home.....:rotfl: I wanted to keep my elite flight status.... and I screwed up again.... I was 2 segments short.... so I spend my day off flying - reading - relaxing.... I did this last year - and didn't catch it - but they were nice enough to say - "Oh, this happens on occasion, we'll just let you have elite status if you promise to not let it happen again" :earboy2: I couldn't call and ask for another reprieve. Well for $100 - it was worth just doing it. DW thinks I'm crazy - but she doesn't fly nearly as much as me - and doesn't understand the benefit.

Oh well... Have a great Thursday!!!!

LeiLani - got your PM - I'll send my cell when I return. If anybody else is going to be at MVMCP and wants to share cell numbers - let me know. I already have LeiLani's, OM's and Stacey's.

I know my "mates" in the nursing home will someday thank you, too, when I say "Did I ever tell you about going on DCL's First Ever 10 Night Christmas Cruise?"

FOR THE FOUR THOUSANDTH TIME!!!!

Stacey:flower1:

Stacey, we will just have to be in the same nursing home (hey, how about the Magic?), because we will never tire of hearing the story! We'll let you tell it, though, because you're the best at stories! Nice post, congrats on #4000.

Great post Stacey --- although I'm fairly new I feel like I know you all, this is a wonderful group and I can't wait to meet you all and I am hoping many of us can form long friendships.

And, I thought we all decided to use one of the Disney ships as a nursing home --- someone I think figured out it would be cheaper --- so we'll all end up together :grouphug:
