22,500 Darn! Okay....22,501

But I got a T.O.P.!!! LOL good morning!

Congrats to Mark for getting the TOP on page 1500! I was reading away, expecting a big celebration at the top of this page.

Today is the studio Talent Show fundraiser for the dance team. Seems like all we do anymore. Alicia is in five numbers, two shows. We both have jobs too, and in between Kevin is going to try and get away to take his Dad to see his Mom at the hospital. Tomorrow he has commandeered DD to go scuba diving, then she needs to study for some finals this week. Which leaves me wondering when we are going to pack?

Yep, it's going to be a hectic week. I guess I can relax when I get on the plane. Does this mean I'll visit the board less?

NAH.

dress clothes are ready for the garment bag, I am ready except for undergarments and toiletries. DM is working on her stuff and will be ready by Mon am.

I have never (this will be my 8th DCL cruise) been to the spa. Should I go on the tour or just rely on your advise and book a massage?

We are packed! Slight change in plans as we needed another bag. So we have the following:

  • Large suitcase - to be checked
  • Large garment bag - to be checked
  • Slightly smaller garment bag - to be checked
  • Small rollaway - my carry-on
  • Large camera bag - Mark's carry-on
More bags than we have ever brought before but this will be a 12 day trip for us. Even with planning on doing laundry we really needed the extra space for the good clothes.

Whew - so glad that is done. Now I just have to concentrate on printing out my lists etc., confirming reservations, filling out paperwork.

Sue - what are you looking to do. Do you just want something to relax? The rainforest is your cheapest option. We plan on trying it. We are doing the couples massage as part of the REAS package. I've also done the alpha capsule and may do it again if there is time. For a beginner I think this is a good option.

Looks like we are all getting down to the wire.
Mary....we will have SEVEN checked bags, I have my carry-on and a small rolling bag, Jay will carry on a garment bag, and Jared will have a backpack with the DVD players and the kids cd players and such. All Jordan has to do is look pretty. LOL

I read all the posts this morning, but if I answer them all, I'd be here all day, so:
Yes
Thank you!
Me, too!
You are too funny!
I know.....

So, just apply these to yourselves as you see fit.

Diana....when did Alicia grow up? When did all our kids grow up? I love the pics.

I've had more than one dive shop/instructor tell me NOT to use toothpaste on my mask. It's grainy and will scratch. Is that because of the prescription lenses?

Now I guess I'll go see what I can accomplish before Jared's soccer game.

Oh....I do the opposite of those of you who are up early and wide awake with excitement. I tend to "shut down" and go into sleep mode. Slept till 9 this a.m.
Off I go......see ya later.

Not sure about the rainforest since I am over 50 and over weight, sitting in a hot, steamy room may hazardous to someone's health. I would like soothing music and warm hands, maybe reflexology(darn spelling) on my feet to start?

Everyone is ahead of us it seems like. Got most of the gifts will get this morning. Orignally we were going to have our christmas dinner tonight, parents last minute had to go to jackson meet with stone guy for our new house. Having our dinner tommorow. My mom said they will start packing tommorow! I cant wait. I wont pack laptop and other stuff until like thursday probably or friday right before we start the drive. I am last minute on that kind of stuff. lol Mom will help me get clothes together. 7 days and we will probably be onboard right now!

You have absolutely nothing to worry about from us, and frankly, considering what I've seen on past cruises, nothing from anyone else either.

Sue...I don't do well in the saunas and such either...we're in the same boat there, so to speak. But I do love aromatherapy massages. Pleasant smell, soft music....you just have to tell them to be GENTLE. And a foot massage is marvelous, too! I am absolutely going to have BOTH of these!

Now I really am going to turn this off and get something done. Really.

Okay, fine...I lied.

Lisa wants to know if she can post a question on the main boards about sunbathing nude on her BAV.

I told Lisa she can't sunbathe out there. Topsider's is one floor up...and too many people would "lose their lunch".

OK - while it isn't the GPS bracelet we've all wanted for our teens - or soon to be teens...... Here's an article about using a cell phone GPS to keep track of your teens - especially when they're driving - letting you know if they're speeding...

If it comes in pints, I'm getting one. Sorry, LOTR joke. Yes, great idea, we have two more years for these to become affordable.

Karen, I think my cat could give your puppy a run for Most Mischievous Pet. He just moved from trying to see how many noises he could get out of my desk phone, to seeing if he can get my printer to spew out paper. Two of his favorite activities. We no longer have anything breakable on any of our shelves, because if we weren't giving him adequate attention, he used to go look for something to knock off. Good thing he's cute.

The cat I had for 18 years was such a stinker. He would hide underneath sofas, chairs, beds and then jump out and grab you, scared the dickens out of us. It got so bad even the dogs would give the furniture a wide pass.

Wow, now that I can check the kids in at the terminal, that will free up time to do something else on board?
Lisa, pardon my ignorance -- are we talking about checking them into the lab? When did that change??? Can we really do it at the terminal now?

Very recently. The check in is now at the coffee shop which is on the end of the terminal with the entrance to the ship.
