Here is a Christmas Crusing Poem for us that was in our local paper this morning:
'Twas the night before Christmas, when the big ships cruised
The chefs were cooking, while the passengers snoozed.
THe stockings wer hung in the cabin with care;
Awaiting duty-free items that soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their pajamas,
In hopes that St. Nicholas could find them in the Bahamas.
In the ship's atrium, the crew put up a tree and decorations,
There was no work for me, but to show up for celebrations.

This is my kind of Christmas!!!!

Also, in this same article, they described some of the Christmas activities that would be on the Disney ships. Most of them we've read about before, but the one I didn't remember seeing before was:

"The main stage performers will present' "Twas the Night Before Christmas."

Well, yesterday was gymnastic day for Lisa and I. In the morning, we went into Orlando with Lisa's Coach to have Lisa evaluated on her upcomng Optional Routines. The Judge was real nice, but tough - she noted every wobble, etc she saw (that's her job and I would rather hear about it now rather than in the middle of the season). Overall, the judge was very pleased with Lisa's skills and her routines. Her Coach will be making some minor adjustments to her routines, but she will have 5 weeks to make the corrections before competition. Her Coach really wants us to figure out some way to have her work out while we are gone. At this point, other than conditioning, I don't know what I can have her do. I know - Mom get creative!!
In the evening we went to Tampa to see the TJ Maxx Tour of Champions. She had a backstage pass, so she was able to enter early before the show and listen to 4 of the Olympic athlete's answer questions. She tried to get Carly Patterson's autograph, but Carly had to leave before Lisa got to the front of the line The show itself was excellent. Lisa was so happy to see the Olympic girls (in particular) perform.

Just a heads up, the teens that are posting regularly on the Teen thread are cooking up their own Secret Santa exchange. Even if your teen isn't posting, they might want to be in on it. I'll post the details here when they decide what they are doing.

Sharon, sounds like an exciting day for Lisa. I've been trying to figure out a way for Alicia to stay in shape too. She's not interested in getting up at 7 am to walk, that's for sure. I'm wondering if they will let her attend Pilates, that's the closest to her dance classes. She wants to go to the gym and do weights, but I think they are only allowed to do that during second seating time. Too bad she doesn't play basketball. You might try asking at guest services what they would recommend for your competitive gymnast.

Hi everyone. I hope everyone had a wonderful vacation. We had a great time at the dude ranch. We extended our stay and just got home.
