I think those of us that booked with TA's will be waiting about another week. It has to go to them, then get sent to us. I'm trying not to call mine, not that it would do any good.

My Mom was a good Southern cook. She made the best fried chicken, pot roast, chicken & dumplings, banana pudding (I think we already talked about banana pudding back when!). Her chocolate pie is a legend in our family, every now and then I try to make it, with limited success. Problem was, she didn't really follow recipes, and didn't really show me how to make her specialties. Not that we need to eat like that. My daughter is thrilled when I get lemon marinated chicken breasts at the natural store and bake them for dinner.

I didn't call. We have a "Team Meeting" on December 1st....I may bring it up then. But her English teacher had the same response...final after the break. BUT...I told Jordan, and she said "Good....I'd rather have the extra time to study".
Except that she won't study. So now I don't know what I will do.
I think they don't want to give her the test early, for fear that she might give away the answers to the other kids. But what's to stop her friends from giving her the answers??

Me too!!! I love that show. I'm going to have the Girl Scouts watch that at our sleepover as their settling down movie.

"you'll shoot your eye out" and "Soap Poisoning" are my favorites!

Hey, I was the baker too! It kept me busy, our family of five could eat a whole cake in one night. Glad we don't do that anymore! Now trying to remember the last time I made a cake...

So do they show any of the Miramax films on the ships? Finding Neverland and the Aviator would be way cool!

I don't.....this will be the first time I've decorated a door. But I have seen pics on the main boards. Mary or Mark may be able to direct you, or you could do a "search".

The docs thing also depends on who the TA is too. Some simply have Disney send it to you direct, some don't. A lot of online TA's do direct.

I'll bet they're pretty sure that the other kids won't remember what's on the test by the time you guys get back. The attention span of 14 year olds isn't the greatest, they're probably banking on that.

My TA said that she is having DCL send them directly to me. She doesn't like being the "middleman" and it just makes the wait longer for her clients. She's teriffic!

Cooking wise I think I got the gene from my Grandmother, not my mom (bless her heart). My grandmother was the chief cook in our house until she had a stroke at 90. After her death my mom tried to take over and make Thanksgiving. I was still living at home and it was just my mom and I (my brother and his wife were coming over for dinner). I'm upstairs and I hear a knock on the ceiling. I rush down to find my mom had been using the food processor, put the blade on the table where it fell off and went right into her foot. A quick trip to the emergency room and she was fine.

So when Mark and I got married and had our own house I started taking over some of the holidays and I alternate with his mother.

My MIL is not the best cook in the world. Years of having everyone on different schedules and I think she's forgotten how to make a fresh meal. Everything is cooked days ahead and reheated.

We are spending Thanksgiving at Mark's Aunt & Uncle's hourse. His aunt and grandmother are doing the cooking and they are great cooks!



Now you can tell by the length of this post that this was a totally unexpected top!

TRUE! And they don't give back the corrected papers anymore. That drives Jay crazy. He wants to see their corrected work, so that we know what they need extra help with. But they don't give it back to the kids. So....if the other kids don't get their tests back, you're right...she won't get any answers from them!!

Must be some glitch in my computer. Every so often, I can't get a page to load. 1140 just WON'T load for me. So if anything good was said there, I'll just have to find it out later.

I'm going to gather up the family that's having us over for Thanksgiving, and we're going to lunch, then pick out the cabinets and counters for the house. They're shutting down the office at noon today.

So if I don't pop in again, HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

We use Dreams Unlimited and they have the docs sent direct from Disney. I'm not worried. There are some people on the 12/4 cruise that still haven't gotten them yet. We'll get ours.
