Have a good trip, Paul. Enjoy the warm weather!

It seems really cold here, the wind doesn't help. It quit snowing for a while, nothing stuck. I had a flashback today that I used to get really excited when it snowed. That was back when I did lots of downhill skiing.

Judy, is that all the same excursion? Sounds like a fun one, will have to go look at it. I sort of want to be back on the ship mid-day to meet up with the family, since the scuba trips are usually only a half day.

Congrats to Matt! Sounds like he's pretty fierce.

Great Minds - This is the same fridge that I have picked out when my current one dies (which could be any day as it is 15+yrs old) I wanted the big maytag but it is wider than the space I have for the fridge.

Vicki and Karen, can I just tell you that I LOVE that refridgerator!!:p We bought one about 10 months ago and it is the best! I've had a bottom freezer model for years, but when we went to Sears looking, we were thinking of changing to a side by side. When we saw this model, though, we had to have it - the best of both worlds. Boy, am I glad. Tons of room compared to the older bottom freezer models, plus I really like the way the space is divided between drawers and shelves and such. Hope you get your wishes!

Cheers, Kara

Good to know!! No matter WHICH fridge I get I MUST have gallon jugs fit in the doors. I miss that about my old fridge (sold with the old house)

Before I actually BUY that fridge I must carefully measure the space I have. It's not huge. I'll be very disappointed if this fridge won't fit! :(

Update on Maggie. Everytime today she got active she would ooze blood from her incision. So I put a pantyliner on her and wrapped her in an ace wrap! :earseek: She is a hard dog to keep still, that's for sure! And, poor timing, but our fence was finished yesterday (the day she had her surgery) and they tell me today that the only activity for 10-14 days is leash walks! No running in the yard and no running up and down steps (another favorite way to wear her out)

And this collar....what a pain! Literally! She runs into you and it whacks your legs!

Poor baby! Well hopefully Maggie's a little calmer right now while she's recovering.

And yes, a gallon will fit on both sides - so you could have two gallons in the fridge at any one time! But I agree, measure well, not only the space that the fridge will go into, but also your doors. We had to take the door between the kitchen and the garage off the hinges AND all of the doors on the fridge off to get the fridge in, and even then it was a pretty tight fit!

Hi Everyone

I'm looking for someone who lives in the New York City area. If you ever make it to the World of Disney store somewhere in New York City, I'm looking for a "NYC Mickey Antenna Topper". I guess these were sold only at the World of Disney store in NYC.

If anyone is in the area, I would sure appreciate an E-mail to talk about getting one of these antenna toppers. As you can guess, I collect them. I've got about 90 different Mickey and Minnie antenna toppers.

It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it.

Ken

Evening all - just back from the famly fun night our cheerleaders had to raise money for nationals. They did not have nearly the turnout they had hoped for. :( They all worked so hard, each of them had to have a game, and the mom's had to buy the prizes for our DD's game. I doubt they even made enough to cover the cost of the prizes. (I hate it when that happens)

Paul have a good & safe trip.

Hope the Las Vagas crew are having a good time.

Karen hope puppy healing goes well. How sad to have the yard done and not be able to use it. Maybe they could give you good drugs for her until she can run & play again. I'm sure once she starts to feel better she will be a real handful. We will be taking our pups in soon to have similar procedures. I can't wait. --not

Congrats to scuba Matt!!! ::yes::

Do you actually USE them? Or just collect them. I have several, but for whatever reason, when I use them they cause my antenna to come unscrewed. So I'll be driving along the highway and see my antenna getting looser and looser. I always fear it's going to hurl off my car and into someone's windshield! :earseek: So I have to get off at an exit and remove my Mickey. :( I have stuck them to my Onstar antenna but it makes the hole too big. I want to devise some way (using a suction cup) to display them INSIDE my van looking out. Like a dowel rod/suction cup contraption.

Thanks for all of the well wishes for Maggie. Her oozing is slowing down. I "unpantylined" her to keep an eye on it. She nearly had a hissy fit the last time I took her outside. It's dark now and she saw her reflection in our windows (very reflective at night) She saw this STRANGE creature wearing that collar and had a barking fit!! She didn't want to go outside for fear that goofy creature would get her!

Congrats to Matt!! If you lived here I'd probably treat you to macaroni and cheese---but the GOOD kind, not the powdered cheese kind! ;)

San Diego....weather wise it was pleasant. I remember it being VERY foggy every morning. I believe I went in September or October. I remember I was pregnant with Nick--so it was '96. Wow, time flies!

Vicki, isn't it crazy what we do for our kids? Time and money wise? I know this play thing for Nick is going to cost me $$$---between parking everyday downtown and tickets to go see the performances. But I keep saying....it's a GREAT experience! :)

Good to know about the measuring!! I'll keep that in mind!!

Two gallons in the fridge? Wow....well, at least that would keep *some* off of my shelves. We typically have at least 3, if not 4 gallons of milk in our fridge at any one time. Got a bunch of milk drinkers here!

Actually, I don't have one on my car. They are all in plastic bags in a drawer. Someday I plan to display them at the local county fair, once I figure out a good display method.

I figured if I was going to collect something, antenna toppers were a fairly inexpensive item.

We just watched a kitchen make over show on the food channel. That had the refrig of my dreams. It was 42 inches wide, huge. Some day we will be tearing out our kitchen and redoing it just so I can get some new equipment. After all, it's all about the equipment

Ken - we have about 60. I'll have to have Mark take a picture of the stand he made for them. Actually each stand holds about 30 so he's make two of them so far.:D

Just got back for the TKD tournament DS was judging. I got a phone call at 12:00 that said he was just about done. Well, 4 hours later we get home.

He decided to compete in their TopGun competition for sparing. It's a single elimination tournament.

I'm proud to say he brought the trophy home. He is the TopGun. The 4 hour delay was worth it, to see him be the best at sparing today. Going to celebrate with some Filet Oscar tonight.

And yes, he can kick my a** if he wanted to. I figure I'm safe as long as I continue to feed him and pay for his diving.
Congrats to your DS. Sparing is very difficult and he must be very proud of his trophy. As the mother of two black belts now - I agree, keep the chow coming!!

Happy Sunday cruisers! We are taking DSs to get Dockers and dress shirts this afternoon - it's my birthday so I get to choose the activities :earsboy:

Happy Sunday Everyone!!

I am finally getting a chance to check in after a very busy week.
I have been trying to keep up, but had to skim a lot of pages.

Lisa- sorry you are not feeling well. Kristen has been sick too, maybe you have the same thing? We really enjoyed meeting you and your family last weekend. Hope you are feeling better.

Both kids played in volleyball tournaments yesterday. Both ended with 2nd in thier divisions. It was a surprise for Jason's team as they are not that strong. It was a disappointment for Kristen's team as they were first in the league. Kristen was still pretty sick, but gave it her all for the team. She collapsed when we got home and was asleep by 8:00pm. She has tryouts tonight for the Northern Virginia Volleyball Assoc., so I hope she is feeling better when she finally wakes up.

Today I am going to try to get caught up on the housework and tonight we have Jason's team party. Might try to get a little shopping in!

Hope everyone has a great day!

This is the first morning in weeks I have not had multiple pages to read in the morning after the Western Cruisers have been chatting. Where were all of you last night. I know Stacey is in Vagas but where is everyone else? Taking a much deserved break after reaching 15000. Onward and upward toward the 20000th post!!!!
