Did they say when they will tell US what they are? I don't really care when the days are. I just want to know what "theme" nights I have to pack for. I wonder if they'll send the info with our docs?

I can't believe I forgot to tell everyone our really exciting news for the week. No it's not something that will happen in 9 months. Well, it might happen in 9 months, but it's not that.

Brittany had her interview with People to People on Sunday, and Monday night we got the phone call letting us know she has been chosen as a Student Ambassador. She will now get to spend 21 days in Europe this summer. I sure wish I was going with her, because she is going to some really great places.

I told her that we could plan a trip to one of the countries and meet up with her. She looked at me like I was crazy and said, "NO WAY!!!"

I can't seem to figure out why she wouldn't want her family to show up when she was in Europe with a bunch of other kids.

I can't believe they are being so stingy with this information. I called the Castaway Club number this morning and the lady told me, "They don't give us that information anymore. You will have to wait until you get on the ship and check the navigator's to see what night is formal, semi-formal, or themed. This is getting a little ridiculous. I have another call into Debbie, so we will see if I can get some information out of her. It would just be nice to know what to plan for.

We used to have direct TV. It doesn't work well in central Ohio--too much cloud cover. Those times when you wanted to stay in and watch TV (rainy, cloudy, yucky weather) it was all pixel-y. Same for direct PC. We switched to Roadrunner when it came into our area, then switched to digital cable.

But I will say.....We LOVED Tivo when we had it. Now we have the DVR that the cable company supplies. I'm not sure I'd EVER watch TV without my DVR. Commercials? What are commercials???

Jenny....our docs have never had that info in them...so I doubt they will now.
I think the only way we ever knew what night was "themed" was by the trip reports of prior cruises...so, we may not know until we get onboard.
What I was told this morning about our wine party is that we would "definitely know by the time we get onboard"
Well, that's encouraging!

I couldn't remember whether or not they did. I haven't cruised since 2002 , so I forgot what came with the docs for information. I guess we'll just have to hope that they tell us, and live with it if they don't.

Contrats to Brittany! I remember in high school I had the opportunity to go to Europe. Being a homebody and a homesick kinda girl, I volunteered my mom to be a chaperone!! She went too!!

That was just the biggest of a NUMBER of times I volunteered my mom to chaperone:

"my mom can drive the girl scouts to Columbus for an overnight"
"my mom can chaperone the girl scout camping trip"
"my mom can drive everyone to.....fill in the blank"

When the leader called she told me she was going to have about 18-20 kids so they would be adding another leader. I offered, but she said you have to be a teacher. BUMMER!!!

I have to agree with you. I don't know how much "adult" supervision we would be.

Thanks Karen.

It was so funny at the interview. The lady had about 5 girls all sitting around the table and she would ask them all the same question then gave them a chance to answer. The parents were sitting in the room also, so we got to hear the answers.

One question the leader asked was about previous travel and if you had ever traveled without your family.(trying to figure out if someone might get homesick) When it was Britt's turn she said, "I fly about 3 or 4 times a year and I have taken trips without my parents. I never get homesick!" I had to bite my tongue so I wouldn't laugh out loud.

The other question the leader asked that made me laugh was about doing a lot of walking and if that would be a problem for the girls. Britt's answer was, "Well, my family has a loooooong history of going to WDW so I am used to walking around a lot and being on my feet all day." Had to bite my tongue again. It was pretty funny to hear everyone's answers.

I am off to order some more stuff so I'll talk to everyone later.

Just got off the phone with Debbie and still nothing much new. She told me they have a tentative plan and it is on a website for them but since it is not final they have not posted it on the DCL website. The only thing she did tell me was that the Captain's Gala was set for the 26th(Sunday) and that Pirate Night would probably be on Wednesday while we are in St. Martin. So that is all the information I have so far. I told her I would check back with her the first week of Dec.
