Ohminnie, I don't think all of those are over the counter. But we know which cabin has the pharmacy now.

I'm amazed and gratified that DCL is going to give us a room for our party at no charge! Stacey, any idea why they're being so generous?

Loved the Pabst beer joke.

We saw The Incredibles tonight. Really a good one, go see it! Loved the scene where the husband and wife are bikering about which exit to take off the freeway. I hope they sequel this one!

Watching Incredibles again tonight.

Isn't it great, first day the movie was out and you can already buy a bootleg DVD of it on the streets in NYC

great $5 investment!

Nope, they all aren't. I've got an inside source when it comes to drug dealers though.

REALLY??? Is it good quality. Someone loaned Mike a bootleg copy of Nemo when it came out. It was SOOOOOO obvious that someone sat in the theater with a camcorder and taped it. You could hear ppl coughing, shifting, talking. And the picture quality stunk. We didn't watch more than 5 minutes of it and he took it back the next day.

That is WONDERFUL!!!

I have a sneaking suspicion that Stacey gets what she wants if she asks in just the right way. (and I mean that in a GOOD way--some people just have that knack to schmooze--it can be a good thing in the right hands)

it's all in how it's presented. I remember a couple of years ago when KT was having problems with Nick---mostly b/c he finally grew up and got a mind of his own and finally decided he didn't want to be bossed around anymore.

Mike took KT aside and tried to teach her the fine art of getting someone to do something you want them to do without them realizing why they were doing it.

Course, after he was done I told him "THANK YOU for teaching our daughter the fine art of manipulation!!!!" And he said "oh, yeah, that's what it's called, isn't it???"

So I was invited to sit in on Nick's rehearsal today. It was TOOOO cute. They are blocking the scenes now...deciding who moves where and what gestures. Nick is just too adorable. My favorite word for him is "simple." Everytime he spoke all the actors and stage managers would smile and give a collective "awwww."

It was cute when they described where he'd be sitting for one scene, but never actually TOLD him to sit there. There was an awkward pause....he took a couple of steps toward the seat and then paused. Held up his hand in the direction of the seat and said, in the most innocent of voices "do you want me to sit there *now*????" Collective AWWW and giggle.

After one scene they told him to exit upper left (there will be 4 exits on this set) and they showed him where to go. Well, all the other actors exited, but then mosey'd over to the table and chairs. But not Nick. They told him to exit upper left and there he stood---all through the next scene. I was trying to motion for him to come sit but he was adamant and stood still shaking his head no and giving me a growly look. Finally after several attempts and at the end of that scene, I asked the director to please tell Nick he could come sit down. She was tickled---he had followed directions! It's kind of like a dog where you tell them to "STAY" and they stay until they get a release word. I think we need to teach Nick a release word.

In the meantime.....KT and I were supposed to go do school during rehearsal, but we stayed the whole time. KT played hookey, in essence. Not that she was complaining.

I've had a couple of days' worth of e-mails back & forth with the group coordinator. She had ideas, they didn't work for us, I had ideas, she had different ones. Actually, I think they will give us anything to get rid of me. I just happened to mention that this was a party full of Castaway Club & DVC members......
and so far, I've managed to save us the $15 per bottle corkage fee.....yep....$15 per bottle! We'll have fruit and cheese trays, some mixed nuts, a couple of other little things to munch on, maybe a surprise or two.....sliverware, glasses & plates. But no server. That was one way to save a charge. With the corkage fee...that's a secret that I will tell you all in private.

And, yes, Virgil....I would think a large bronze bust would be heavy. Ohminnie definitely could not go snorkeling!!


I have a friend who vacuums her cats. She's done it since they were babies, and they don't mind.

I need to know what kind of plans we think we may have for the days at sea. I told the group person that I wanted Monday the 20th....but, depending on when the vow renewals are held, we may have to pick a different sea day. Long story on that one. They still haven't told the couples what day their renewals are going to be, but it does sound like they will be on Monday afternoon. And since we want the couples to be at the party, we would have to look at Tuesday. But it's hard for Amy to know what place we can ue, because DCL still doesn't know what will be going on in each room on each day. What a mess.
I really think they could have had this all worked out a long time ago. It's not like we haven't been planning for a year and a half.
Oops...I forgot...I was going to keep my opinion to myself.

Anyway...sea days....I had thought that 4 pm was a good time, because most of the "cool" activities should be winding down by then...time to start to get ready for shows and dinner....
But, if anyone knows that they have something planned for sea days at that time...speak up....

Did I totally confuse everyone?
