Okay, I take it back.....sorry.

Ohminnie...I know you said you don't want to look for sox anymore, but....just in case the director forces you to find them...GAP has them in their girls' dept. I am assuming you looked in the girls' departments......
But....Christopher Robin didn't wear knee sox.......but that's beside the point. You know how Directors can be. And how some of those Moms can be, remember??

Yup. Checked Gap Kids. Boys AND girls department. They did have knee socks, but no solid navy. Lots of pretty patterns though!

Yes, I know, CR didn't wear knee socks. In the (video) scenes that they are doing he wore light blue shorts, a yellow shirt, a blue jacket and boots (winter scenes) In the play he's wearing blue shorts, a red polo, a blue cardigan and brown "church shoes." Even in warm weather CR wore white socks and what look like Mary Janes. Oh well.

Also checked Gymboree, Children's Place, JCPenney, Sears, Lazarus, Kauffmans, Limited, and various and sundry other stores.

Found white ones....maybe I can spray paint them!! ;)

Kt went to stay with my parents this last week. She got to pick all the dinners. My mom had to call from the grocery store and ask what she was talking about....she said "KT says she wants something that you cook that turns out grey, has noodles and is 'homemade'....the best we could find was Hamburger Helper Beef Stroganoff"

Yup. That was is!! Homemade! HA! I'd have liked to have been there when my dad had to eat it. He's so Mr. Meat and Potatoes!!

Oh, and my mom was appalled...she asked if I used ground meat or beef tips....Of course I use ground meat!! :faint:

And yes, I enjoyed Mongolian BBQ. Mike has wanted to go for some time, but I've always avoided it. MONGOLIAN?? Don't they eat cats?? ;) I finally gave in about a month ago and we went...but they weren't open yet!! So today we went.

I loaded up my bowl with shrimp, snap peas, bean sprouts, lo mein, and broccoli. It was so full I had to balance a stack of water chestnuts on the top because there was no room in the bowl for them!! Then some ginger sauce and mmmmmm.....

Nick wanted only chicken and pineapple until he saw what he THOUGHT were cubes of cheese. I put three in his bowl (knowing full well that cheese is not an ingredient in a stir fry!) and he LOVED THEM.....

Tofu!!

He wanted to go up and get a whole bowl of that!

Stacey - I like the signs. The beef sounds good, gaRry made chili for us, actually he made it yesterday and we were still eating it today. It was actually good. (but don't tell him I said so)

The tag time sounds good I think 12 hours is plenty of time. I agree most won't keep it that long but it is good to have a limit.

I wasn't a very supportive UM fan yesterday I fell asleep before half time, I had taken some medication that made me very sleepy. I woke up to see we had not done so well. I guess we were fortunate that Iowa won. I guess Ohio will also get a bowl game since they won our game.

Our oldest DD shot her first elk this year and brought some over for us this week. So, tonight we are having broiled elk back strap. YUM.

Some news from my friends who were just on the Villains Pin Cruise on the wonder.

Do you think this qualifird for an upgrade?? ...... LOL

The first day of our voyage started out with all the usual excitement as everyone boarded the Disney Wonder and greeted old friends. After photos were taken, guests checked into their cabins and then went straight away to get their pins......what else!

Then everyone attends the festive sail away party which is held prior to leaving port with the Wonder tooting its massive air horns with the first few bars of "When you Wish Upon a Star"....just the coolest thing you ever heard.

What none of us was noticing however was the building of the seas, and winds. Soon after we left port, the ship began to sway ever so slightly at first but as time went on it kept getting worse and worse. As night came the dining rooms were half empty as many passengers got sick including half of our group. Walking around the ship was pretty hard as you just couldn't walk without swaying into the walls....phew! They say the seas rose to 23' which my friends can rock any boat for sure.

Port Hole Blows Out - During the recent Disney Cruise Line Pin Event held on the Wonder, one of the guests awoke to a huge surprise in their room...the Atlantic Ocean! Seems the storm and pitching of the ship during the very rough seas on our first night caused the window to explode out the side of the ship into a guests stateroom. No one was hurt but we are sure they were scared to death....wow!

I read on the main boards a recommendation that you put your names on the door signs as some were taken and likely wound up in someone else's scrapbook.

OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, I think *some* sort of compensation is in order there.

Hi everyone!

Been kind of busy lately. Christmas shopping is done except for two things that I have to pick up tomorrow. Everything that I have is wrapped. Putting up the decorations and tree this week.

Ohiominnie--I used to have tons of navy knee socks. DD wore them with her school uniform. Now she wears navy trouser socks or nylons.

DS stayed home from school Friday. He has strep. Still running a low grade fever tonight so I guess he'll miss again tomorrow.

Stacey--loved the picture of your rose and your door signs. If I had a clue how to use this computer like my kids do, I'd show you a picture of my door sign. Guess you'll have to check it out on the ship.

There's always RIT dye.

I found some navy blue knee sox from GAP on e-Bay. Want me to buy them for you?

WOW that would be very freightening . Good to know no one was hurt. I guess there is one advantage to the inside stateroom.

Wow! Who would have thought that could happen...and why do we never hear about these things???

Vicki, I made chili earlier this week. I love to make a big enough pot to have left-overs. Chili is always better on the 2nd day. Yummmm, and cornbread!

Doc....no one is sick yet, but I'll keep you posted!

It's supposed to rain all day again tomorrow. Glad I didn't wash the car Friday like I was going to.
Maybe I'll get to test the new car in the creek....like I would!

Oh, yumm! We use this spice mix now called Wick Fowlers. It makes the best chili. Add some meat and some beans....

top with onions and cheese....

have cornbread and honey....

YUMMMM!!!

True, but I'm going to let Mrs. Director worry about it now. After all, he auditioned to BE in the play, not to supply everything (it's bad enough they need lots of sticks---something my yard has lots of---and I have to carry large bundles of sticks through the parking garage, the mall, and the downtown streets of Columbus!!)

Thanks for the offer to buy e-bay socks, but I'll pass. I can only worry about so many things righ tnow.

Just heard from my brother....he's coming down for Nick's play and wants to stay a couple of days---fine, but I may have him cleaning and doing warm compresses on a sedated puppy! HA!

Ohminnie....someone forgot to tell you how it works with these plays. Even when Megan did "professional" theater, it seemed like I always had to supply things. It really gets irritating after a while.
I hope your brother likes dogs! LOL

TAG!

We now have over 30 rooms signed up to play tag. I'm thinking that even with 10 days if we don't have some guidelines one mickey head won't make it to everyone.

I'll be happy to put something in the mini-navigator but want to hear what everyone wants to do. Should there be a time limit (say 12 hours - a tag placed on a door after 11 am needs to be on a new door by 11 pm, and a tag placed on a door after 11 pm needs to be on a new door by 11 am). That way it shouldn't interfere with excursions etc. I just would hate to see so many sign up and then it goes on one persons door and stays there for days and others miss out.

So what do you all think? LeiLani I think you said you have already made more than one - right?

Anyone have any other ideas to make sure that everyone can play?

Hi Mary - yes, I already have a few of these made and I was going to bring a couple of extras just in case we lose one or two. Also, I think setting a time limit is great. This is what I was trying to get at serveral weeks ago, but everyone said we didn't need rules. So this works for me.
