Nah, yours for sure say Kenmore. :) Sears does that a lot. Almost everything that says 'Kenmore' on it and a lot of the Craftsman power tools as well are made by other well known brands.

All our major kitchen appliances are Whirlpool and have been very happy with them.

They're really nice! The washer has several washing options and uses less than a quarter of what a normal washer uses. Nice hand wash cycles for those delicate items. The washer spins clothes so fast, they are almost dry when the come out.

Several washing options and 99.9% of the time I use "normal."

Sometimes for Maggie's beds I'll use "super duper sterilize with scalding hot water and bleach." So it's nice to have that.

Delicate items? I don't wear them so I don't have to wash them! If it isn't iron clad tough, we don't buy it! ;)

I agree on the spin cycle. This would NOT be a good washer for a cat to accidentally get into! ;)

We've got a lot of Maytag. Also very happy with them. Just waiting for this used Amana fridge to die.....

Hi Mary,

Just pm'd you then kept reading(man you guys type fast for me)

Could you please add us for the navigator cabin TBD and tag, sounds like fun.

Cheers,
Phil

Got you added!

Looking at the specs on that washer.....

Plus, the Duet® Fabric Care System offers incredible capacity and cleaning power, washing up to 16 pairs of jeans in a single load.

SIXTEEN? I remember seeing that, but that seems excessive! I've never done THAT many at a time!

Catalyst® Cleaning Action with Direct Inject

This sounds made up!

Add-A-Garment Feature

I'll admit, this is really nice for when you find that one extra pair of socks or a stray towel and you want to add it.

Bulky Items Cycle

Isn't this the same as saying "16 pairs of jeans?"

On/Off Extra Rinse Option

I always said my next washer MUST have this....I always double rinse whites and towels.

1,200 RPM Maximum Spin Speed

There's that spin that HH was talking about.

Child Lockout

This goes over better than the "Child Lock IN" feature.

WELL THATS MY SEAT

$ weeks and I'll be right there on the ship rain shine or darker

I do'nt LIKE LEAVING AN HOUR LATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really as long as you stick to any of the older 'major' brands you can't go wrong. The only one I'd be a little leery of right now is this new one called 'LG', that Best Buy's been pushing. You would know that brand better as Goldstar. They're made in Korea. The place I used to work for was equipment sales/service shop and they carried exactly one washer built over there, was from Daewoo(yes the car maker), it was a very pooly built machine.

That's so ironic, b/c they also make the fridge with a bottom freezer and a side by side look top (but one open area) but I thought.....NO WAY I'm buying a brand called "LG"

Besides, that looks like the abbreviation for Large and we all know what I did on my first cruise when I thought my PFD was a LG! ;)

another TOP or is Mark out there getting ready with his pirate heads?

Good luck with that. We bought a USED one when we bought our house, 16 years ago. It never died. I finally just decided I wanted a new one last year anyway.

Have a look at Twopalms, couldn't have stopped shooting at a better moment!

What can I do to help it along? Jam up it's coils with something? Cross a wire here or there? Leave the door open all day and then say "look it's not cooling well....we need a new one!" ;)
