Home!
Tired and heading for bed.
Ohminnie...glad to hear the auditions went (fairly) well. When Megan did her acting, I hated if we didn't know whether she was supposed to memorize it, or just study it and practice....good luck to them! Or maybe..."break a leg"???

Going to be a long week. On top of work, I have at least one (some days 2) appointment each day, and sports activites every night. On Saturday my mom comes. My posting time will drop.
We leave for Las Vegas for Mom's birthday next Wednesday. I'm still trying to figure out why I booked myself so tight.
Better that, than to be bored, I guess.

We found out tonight that Jordan was supposed to have her first troupe class at 5:30. She had jazz at 6:30. I wish someone had told me she had the new class! Oh well. That's four classes a week. She went straight to bed......

Anyway...I'm going now too.
Have a good day tomorrow!

TERRIFIC TUESDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE HOLIDAY CRUISERS!

Good night!

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

Happy Tuesday! Back to work I go! I'm really sorry the road trip to Hershey never worked out, but we had a lot of fun around Chicago!

Next trip - the cruise! Cruise is paid, airline tickets bought and paid, rental car booked (for 12/17), limo & towncar booked (for 12/28 & 12/29), Vero Beach booked on points (12/17), Beach Club booked on points (12/28), excursions booked, REAS booked and paid for (but dates not confirmed yet), CP booked (for 12/28). Wow - my trip ticket holder is going to be overflowing with all the confirmation paperwork :D All worth it though for a MAGICal holiday vacation.

Now we just have to fine-turn what we are wearing and we'll be set. How is everyone else's planning going?

Good Tuesday Morning Everyone!

Mary - our planning is coming along also: Airline tickets and cruise all paid for, hotel booked (GF) for 12/16 & 12/17, MVMCP tickets purchased, dinner reservation at LTT on 12/17, limo booked for 12/16 (MCO to GF), 12/18 (GF to Port), & 12/28 (Port to MCO), and all excursions booked. Things left to do: door signs, decorations for cabin, pick out clothes, & figure out what days we are going to do things like spa, hair braiding and so on.

I am also in the process of trying to plan a quick trip to Vegas over Thanksgiving and we are trying to figure out what to do for spring break so it seems like I am always on the computer checking out options. One of these days I am just going to hand it over to a TA and let them figure it all out.

Stacey - we are going to Vegas over Thanksgiving and I think you said you would be there until the 24th. We will get in the 23rd about 9:30pm and be there until the 28th. I don't know if we are just going to miss each other, but if not it would be great to meet up again. Even if it is for breakfast or lunch before you fly out. Let me know.

Who is everyone using for transportation? We're planning to book a town car, but we've never used one before so we don't know who to use (or who to stay away from). They all get mixed reviews, so it's hard to decide. We usually just use DCL transfers, but we're staying at the POP the night before and we have a 11:30 am flight the day we get back, so we can't use DCL transfers this time.

The prices are all about the same so that doesn't seem to be a factor. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've booked Quicksilver. As you say they all seem to have their fans and it is hard to choose. We've never used one before but they were the most helpful when I emailed asking for information so I went with them.

Just got a call. My kids were absolutely amazing in their rehearsals. Nick MUST be cast as Christopher Robin (even though audtions aren't technically until October 16th) It'll have to be double cast b/c we CANNOT stay in town until December 22nd for obvious reasons)
KT *may* be cast as James if the planets align...that is, the director has to clear it with the creative director that KT is a girl being cast for a boy part (although she was better than any boy who auditioned) Also we *somehow* must either cancel or abbreviate our trip to Disney in October. She cannot miss one week of rehearsals. It may mean we all go down on Friday, but KT and I fly back on Monday.
So the final word is *maybe* my kids have parts.
How I wish I didn't have a puppy to factor into rehearsal schedules.

We used Happy Limo in May of 2003 and they were fine. We are using Southern Elegance for this trip. They were very fast with their E-mail responses so I thought that we would give them a try. Like you said, the price is about the same. It appears that the Southern Elegance cars are a little bigger.

OM, that's exciting! Sounds like learning the lines paid off, and they did better than you thought! I know how it is, though, we're our kids biggest fans and toughest critics.

We used Tiffany in August, they were promp and efficient, even in the aftermath of Hurricane Charley. I believe we are booked with Southern Elegance for transportation to the port, and are getting a rental car when we disembark. We'll be at OKW for three nights after.

Mary, which CP show on the 28th? We booked the 5 pm show, and we'll eat after at GG. Decided to go the cheapest route, I'm sure we'll blow our budget on the cruise.

Karen- congrats to the kids. I hope it works out for you and them. How long are you currently scheduled to be at WDW? I am flying in on Thursday Oct 21.
Anyone else going to be there that weekend???

I booked our transfers with FL tours. We have never used them before because we usually drive, but are highly rated here on the DIS ( one note about them is that they do not take credit cards. You have to pay the driver in cash or travelers checks) I thought this was kinda odd in today's buisness society.

We still have not decided on wether to stay at the Ebassy suites or go down to the Radisson. Something else for DH to decide when he gets home!

Very quick post...and I'm out the door.

YEA! :Pinkbounc Ohminnie!!! Congrats to the kids! Wish I had some ideas for you on scheduling.....

Megan & I used FL Tours and they were fantastic, even after missing my flight and all.
I have them booked for Christmas too.
As for the not taking credit cards....our business doesn't take credit cards....and please don't take this as bragging I just want to point out....we do a tremendous volume of business. We just don't want to deal with taking credit cards. We would have to charge our customers more, to make up what the card companies would charge us, and the hassle of processing the forms, etc. Not worth it.
I find it much faster to just hand the driver money, than to have to wait while they run my card anyway. I don't want to waste a second of "Disney Time"!

Off and running...

Have a great day everyone!

Stacey

We're *sheduled* to be at WDW from Fri. 10/15- Fri. 10/22. If KT gets this part, she and I will have to leave early (probably Monday the 18th) That way we'll still get in the biggest thing we're going down there for--MNSSHP!
Wow, my head is whirling right now. Luckily, because we homeschool, our schedule is very flexible--it's just these vacations that are a bit more difficult to change. I think ohiomickey and Nick should STILL go, even if KT and I can't go at all. We are now within our 30 day window with our DVC points, so that's a whole 'nuther issue. Luckily, two of our plane tickets were "free" b/c of FF miles, so if we had to cancel the two of us, at least it's won't hurt as bad.
Did I mention my head was spinning? I don't want to say "I told you so" but this was the vacation I was NOT convinced we should take.....because of the new puppy and the $$ this close to the cruise. In fact, when we were considering the puppy I asked "would you be willing to give up our October trip for the puppy?" The trip wasn't planned yet at that point. Everyone said yes!! But we got the puppy AND planned the trip.
Did I mention my head is spinning?

Btw, we have used FL town cars and Tiffany town cars. Liked FL town cars better. That's who we're using in October--possibly three legs of the journey now.

btw, guys, let me thank you for listening to me babble! it helps to type things out and actually think through it more slowly. just ignore my ramblings if you'd like! :) just nice knowing someone is listening out there (even if I never know you ignored all my posts!)

Hi everyone. We are using Southern Elegance. I read wonderful posts about them and they have a little bigger town car which will help. We have an early flight back to NY. It is at 11:35am

We have car service to and from JFK, plane tickets, car rental( for the pre crusie time), timeshare at Marriott, MCMCP on 12/17, LTT at 4:10pm on 12/17, Ressies for shore excursions, car service from the Port to MCO, Ressies for Brunch last day sea day, Dinner tables all done for early seating, AND now I have to pay the balance of the cruise, figure out what to pack, spa treatments surprise gifts for the children on the cruise, Ressies for the Romance package, decorations for our door Oh and order our shirts from GarRy. I still have a nice Honey do list.

I went to target over the weekend and got great Pirate costumes for DD and DS. I hope they still have that pirate night on the Magic. The children are psyched to wear them. They also want to wear them on the Caribbean Pirate excursions.

Diana, Thanks for telling me to put their bathing suits underneath them. I hope they won't be to hot. Fondly, Gail

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Well, OM, I join right in with you on the head spinning! My head was spinning all last week. And I'm just now "trying" to get back to what our family calls normal. (Still running around with my head cut off!!!)

Jamie Lynn (DD 12), just finished her latest play, a musical called "Whatever You Imagine". Glad that the rehearsals, recording, and the actual play are over! I put way too many miles on the car running her back and forth when she is in these things!!!! Anyway, it was terrific, she had a meltdown after the show the final night, the whole emotional thing since it was over. She has been looking for new auditions everyday, but I keep telling her "NO THAT WON'T WORK, WE ARE GOING ON DISNEY CRUISE FOR CHRISTMAS!". She thinks she can juggle school, dance, piano, violin, singing, and another play in December. Well, I CAN'T!!!! The bad thing is there are so many opportunities to perform during the month of December.

Oh well, we will be back to normal after this Christmas!! (I can dream, can't I?)

Trying to decide what to do on excursions. Got 10 other "Kids" to decide what they are doing. Last night I finally printed out everything. I think Robert, Jamie and I will just decide what we are doing and then tell the "kids" to decide what they and their families are doing and what we have already done. They are paying their own excursions, I can't afford excursions for 13 people!

Anyway, got five million things to do. Someone tell me how to download a photo on my post and I will post a picture of Jamie in her latest performance!

Linda:crazy:

Hi all - checking in at lunch!

Linda - good plan on doing your own excursions and letting the "kids" figure out for themselves. That's the approach we used with my in-laws last year and it worked great.

Gail- I think the kids would look addorable on the excursion in their costumes! Definately have them wear their swimsuits underneath as I do think we have an hour stop for swimming.

Karen - congrats to the kits on their parts. I honestly don't know how all you moms juggle everthing!

We are using Southern Elegance this trip. We've used Tiffany in the past and while I thought they were good I didn't think they were great. I like the fact that Southern Elegance sent me a confirming PDF back. Nice!

As for my to-do list. I still have to print our door sign, finish our packing list and see what we may need to buy, put aside money for our tips, gather up the button info and do the buttons, gather up the navigator info and do that, and I'm sure a few other things I'm forgetting at the moment. I just now the next couple of months are going to fly by!

Gail, I have to ask because you said you're flying to JFK. Are you flying on JetBlue?
