Jim - If I didn't have to be at work early tomorrow I'l love to help you clean up. Stay safe and by all means buy those dive lights.

I used watching the storms as an excuse to buy two outfits for the cruise yesterday!

Stacey - I have a piggy that I've had since grammer school so don't think I need another one. We have a tin that was issued for the 25th WDW Anniversary that I've used to stash change in. Plus I have a DVC trip holder that I put our cards and extra cash in.

20041218-Official check-in thread for 1st ever DCL 10 day cruise--12/18/04

Ok Just A Thought Can Beat me up if u Want But here we go

Since the Disney Magic is Not Coming Back Until Tuesday

That would Make it a 10 night Cruise and Would the
title of the Thread Need to Be Changed

To Some thing else?????

Here is the Statement From Disney

Arrivals of both the Disney Magic, which departed on Saturday, August 28th and the Disney Wonder, which departed on Thursday, September 2, have been delayed to the late evening of Monday September 8th at Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale. Guests will be able to disembark Tuesday morning. Transportation will provided back to Orlando International Airport, The Walt Disney World Resort and Port Canaveral for guests to pick up their personal vehicles. A shuttle will also be available to transport guests to Ft. Lauderdale airport, or other south Florida airports, if necessary.

Just Wondering ???

Disneys First Ever 10 night Cruise 8/28/04 -9/07/04

Maybe u could put Planned in the Title ??

DUH Peter - like we didn't already think about that. Go away! You've made your point a number of times that you are on a 14 day and that is so much better. So again - go away!

Peter - we're way ahead of you.....

We've been discussing new title possibilities since the cruise was first just a 9 day extension.....

Gotta keep this thread going somehow!!!

The only thing that's too bad is if the ship could have stayed out for 4 more days and stolen your thunder, Peter. :p

For me, this is still the first official 10 day cruise, as little as that means to me. Anything over 7 days and different ports will always be fun. And I am quite happy with this one, thank you.

The kids just had brownie and fudgesicles for breakfast. Had to finish them up. Sounds like breakfast on DC.

Brownies: eggs--protein, flour--carbs, chocolate--well, it's probably MILK chocolate so it includes milk, PLUS, chocolate is made from the cacao bean--beans are VEGETABLES!!!

Fudgesicles--fudge (another word for chocolate)--see chocolate description above.

as far as I'm concerned, it sounds like a healthy breakfast.

if nothing else, when they're older they'll sit around and say things like "remember when hurricane frances hit and we had brownies and fudgesicles for breakfast?" then one will sigh and say "those were the good ol' days" :)

My apologies to my fellow 12/18 cruisers, but some people just annoy me and this particular poster with his pompous attitude is one of them. Just a quick reminder that this is the same poster who showed up when the 14 days were announced and wanted to know who was going to cancel our cruise to go on those.

Ok so Who is going to cancel this trip and Go on the 14 day one ... I See that some Very lucky Person is Going to Get to Do Both..... DisneyPinDiva !!!

Hate me if you will. Now back to our regular discussion.

Looks like we won't be Disney's first 10 day cruise :( The system is moving so slow I doubt if the port can open tomorow. Waves in the area are still very high.

I was mentioning this to my parents. Celebrating that they only extended the Magic to 9 days so that we could be the first TEN day cruise. But then found out Frances was moving so slowly and I worried they'd stay out another day.

But my parents reassured me by saying "we'll still be the FIRST SCHEDULED 10 day cruise!!"

btw, Mary, I'm reading these posts quickly and on skimming I thought you wrote "looks like we won't be on Disney's first 10 day cruise." I thought you were cancelling! SOOOO glad you're not!

Or we could change it to Disney's 1st every PLANNED 10 day cruise. I think for the most part those on board right now are having fun. Especially since they only had to pay for a 7 day cruise!

Well, now, Mary. I hadn't gotten to this post when I typed mine. You're thinking like my parents! :) Great minds think alike!

Okay, after a visit to the tech board, they removed my countdown and I created a new one. Hopefully, I am done messing up the boards. Notice the name I put on the countdown, thanks for the suggestion!!!

Karen - time to change our title. The Magic is now on a 10 day cruise getting in Tuesday.

Done. Although I still have many pages to read....it might be changing again if others have recommendations.

Ok, I've changed the title of the thread to:

20041218-Official check-in for 1st ever DCL *SCHEDULED* 10 day cruise--12/18/04

Others have suggested:

10 Days of Holiday Magic

Thoughts?

Good afternoon everyone! :wizard:
I'm baaaack!
Whew... lose power for a couple days and had what ....10-12 pages to catch up on!! At least we got it back a little quicker this time than after Charley. Now that the AC is back on I am getting less cranky. ::yes::
No further damage INSIDE or out...LOL
Love the "10 Days of Holiday Magic" Title.
Sure wish I was back in Coral Springs.... well, not really, I love being at the MouseHouse, even with the hurricanes... but I'd love to run down to Port Everglades and see the Magic there!!! Wonder if they have a cam?
MK and Epcot are open today... I've already been out earlier today before the power came back... got my Labor Day pins of course. We still had a lot of rain bands coming thru... but now it almost looks like the sun could come out! :sunny:
Have to get to the parks this evening and get a major Mickey fix after this. Now the TV station is chasing tornados from the leftover feeder bands... and Ivan is waiting in the wings... oh joy!
Diana thanks for the Ebay tips...
Back to catching up......

I like the "10 days of Holiday Magic" as well. But, when it gets down to it I don't care what we call it, because WE ARE going on it. Yoo Hoo!!:earsboy: :hyper:

:bounce: Yea! Leslie! You're cooling off! And you're okay.....that means all are accounted for. We are so blessed!

I like 10 Days of Holiday Magic......but then, I'm partial since I thunked it up! LOL
I like to think I may be good at something. I just finished the texturing. Now I have to wait for it to dry and hope like heck I still have paint in the workshop that matches the bathroom.
One last load of clothes in the dryer....
Last storm we had blew the little patio table over that's out by the pool....the top came off. DH left this morning with instructions for the kids to "fix it". Yeah, right. DS got out the tools, worked at it for all of 10 minutes before coming in and saying "I quit".
How come I can't say "I quit". I hate when Jay tells the kids to do chores, and then leaves. That makes me either the bad guy who has to enforce his orders, or do the work myself.
I decided Jordan needed to learn a few things, even though they were somewhat minor. She now knows what an allenhead is. And the difference between a screw and a bolt. And she knows how to use the allenhead with the bolt and the nut & a wrench.
We fixed the table. Would have been easier to go to Target and get a new one.
My reward to myself? I'm not making dinner. Any excuse will do.

The good news is....I probably just sweat off another pound or two out there! There's always a pot of gold.

OhMinnie......do you think that when Jared (DS) gets married, his bride will let him take Pooh on their Honeymoon? If they cruise with DCL, I guess it wouldn't seem so bad.

We have Pooh and talking Eeyore on our headboard. And a teddy bear and White Rabbit. They all wear all of my pins from Disney. And my mouse ears. Really sets the mood to have them up there staring at us.
Every now and then Jay will hide my glasses in the morning, and they are almost always found on Pooh's face!

I just realized something.......we're all sitting here feeling sorry for Leslie....and she went to the MK today!!! Suddenly I'm jealous!

:cake: Happy Birthday to Keith....DS of dee47.........hope you're out there "listening"!!
