Hi Theresa, welcome! Nice to "see" a new face.

Leslie, you know that going to MVMCP is the only way you can get those pins. We went to the next-to-the-last party last year, and they still had almost all of the night's pins available.

Is anyone going to be a WDW the week of Aug. 8? Still thinking about taking DD that week. We would be staying at BCV.

Diana, we will be there 8/5-8/13 and gaRry and Vicki and family will be there 8/5-8/9. We are at Pop the first night and then at Bonnet Creek (new Fairfield timeshare next to Caribbean Beach) for the week.

Bright Sunday Morning!

The sun is bright and shining here in Chicagoland. Looks like it is going to be a beautful day! Today is packing day for us - at least the big stuff. I'd rather do it when I have a full day and night try and do it Thursday night after work.

This time next week we should be waking up at OKW (actually this time next week we should just be leaving Church and heading over to Sea World).

Oh Darn! We won't be hitting Orlando until the 26th! We'll be on our way back from the In-Laws 50th anniversary in Wisconsin. Oh well... I'll be at Pin Trading Night at the All Star on the 27th if anyone is still around!!

Hi everyone. Happy Sunday.
What a beautiful weekend on Long Island this weekend. I hope you all also had beautiful weather.

I added the romance package today. It is a surprise to DH.

DD has her procedure tomorrow. We will be glad when it is all over and we find out what is causing all of her pain in her stomach and her side. DD has a rough week. She has been such a trooper all weekend with the prep for this. She has been on a clear liquid diet since yesterday morning at 8:00am. We bought her Shreck 2 game boy today. We all are looking forward to seeing the movie next week. I heard it is better than the first.

Mary, Have a wonderful trip.

I forgot who's DD is in NY or went to NY?? How was her trip????

If I have forgotten to wish anyone a belated birthday or anniversary., ect - I apologize my head has been somewhere else this past week.

Gail - you have been in my thoughts. You and DD will be in my prayers as you get ready for her procedure tomorrow. Here's hoping they find out quickly what is wrong so she can get free of the pain.

I think you will love the romance package. Since with it we get to pick what rotation we want we'll have to decide which one to go with (since we are going to be linked for dining). Mark and I are up for any rotation - we've done them all!

The cicada invasion hit us this weekend. Anyone else on the East Coast have them yet? I don't know why, but I don't remember them 17 years ago. They are really picking up in numbers since even yesterday. Fun, fun -- lots of newly-shed shells all over the place. Auuugh. They're supposed to be gone in a few weeks......but as luck would have it, we planted a bunch of new trees last year, so we're going to have to do something to protect them. Apparently, the young leaves are gourmet fare for hungry cicadas.

Minnie! Welcome back! I'm glad you had a nice cruise. Is a trip report in the works? -- begging quietly here, I just love reading trip reports!!!!--

Charlotte, wasn't the weekend great? DS had fun on the horseback trip. There were several lessons learned. The main tent the boys were supposed to use came without the tent poles, so there was some last minute re-shuffling! So glad it wasn't me that did it! But overall, given that 9 of the 14 boys were first year scouts, the leader said that they did very well. The owner was very pleased at the work they did and invited them back again. And for the most part, they had enough food. They were short on the first breakfast (mix for 20 pancakes, and a dozen eggs, for 14 boys!), but the adults shared their extra.

Gail, I'm praying for your DD this morning. I sure hope things go well. pm or email me if you want to chat.

Apparently we're far enough south to miss the cicadias. We had the 7 year locusts in 96 (the year we moved here), and that was bad enough. I thought we were living by a high tension line since there was a buzz in the air all the time. Once the locusts died, the buzz stopped though!

We are another week closer! I am getting more and more excited! All the kids and grandkids are coming this weekend. This weekend I put together a bunch of packages for them for an official countdown. Give them something to do for the next little while and get excited about the cruise.

Getting ready to head off to cheese country.. so I won't be checking in for the next 10 days or so... I can't imagine how many pages I'll have to catch up!!

Has anyone ever taken the Disney transport from WDW to the port on any previous cruises? Any idea how that works or how much it is? Just wondering.

I'm back! Our flight was a little late, we picked up DS and went straight to his ball game, then dinner. I'm beat.
Had a great time. I have never (really, NEVER) gone to a spa before....not even on the ships...so that was a real treat! Now I know why everyone wants those spa ressies!
I had a facial, absolute heaven (I fell asleep, that gal couldn't believe I could sleep while someone was touching my face....HA...that's nothing! She should talk to DH!) and I had a brutal massage....I forgot to tell her about the broken vertebrae, so OUCH! My own fault.....
Good food....a few nice surprises from my host....and we saw Kevin James (The King of Queens) he was funny.

Gail....I've been thinking of you & DD.....really hoping all is well.

I started in Sunday morning telling DH (about every 10 minutes) "Next week at this very time, we'll be at Disneyland...."
& here we come!

Mary, your timer is ticking down for your member trip! How exciting!!

gaRry.......didn't forget you....haven't seen my other "Dad" to ask about the Mustang! And, YES....I would think you definitely need to go to WDW to get to my house! (Hey, works for me!)

Cicidas...remember them well from my Nebraska days! They're a bug that you hardly ever see, but you can hear their chirping all evening. Don't have them here, and don't miss them. We have enough critters. There was a mountain lion in the creek when we got home. I was glad we had picked up DS before he walked that far. I never used to give them a second thought, but now that so many people have been attacked (not here, thank goodness), I worry more about them being around the house.

I wish I knew if there was some type of internet connection in the rooms at the Grand Californian. I'd finally go buy that lap top, and check in from there with Mouse updates. I can't wait to ride TOT. Maybe I'll call the hotel and find out. The parks will still be closing early, as it's not Memorial Day yet, so I'd love to read the boards at night.

One free dinner for all at Lumiere's!!!!! (Like I said, that's really generous, don't you think??? LOL)
I did okay in Vegas, nothing to really write home about. Okay, FINE , I lost!!! Up & down, up & down.....just didn't walk away soon enough! Oh well.

I am going to head for the hills for tonight.....back to work tomorrow!
