Leslie, over on the main cruise board, Shirley usually has an open thread titled something like "ask your Key West questions here". She and her husband Norm were born and raised in Key West. They've moved up to Cocoa Beach and run a gift shop named "The Perfect Gift". They have a contract with DCL to provide gift baskets, which many people say are wonderful. She's very generous with her time and knowledge, and could probably give you a good recommendation for a kennel. She has a 1-800 number for her shop. Doc, I hope things settle down in ER for you. I've definitely been on the receiving end when it's been like that. Not a job I'd like to have.

Leslie - sorry I take it for granted that everyone knows who Shirley is - silly me. As others have stated she is a wonderful woman who does gift baskets for the cruises. I've put her ad in our newsletter every month.

She does wonderful work and also does packets of info on Key West that is free (just need to send her postage).

I hope to be in chat tonight but the retirement party for our VP is tonight so not sure what time I'll get home.

OK, I admit I'm way not up to speed. what night do we chat and how do I get there?? To let you know how crazy this spring has been for my family: I didn't know until yesterday that DCL was doing 14 day Panama cruises. Now THAT is out of it!

I'm way jelous that Stacy and Mary are going on vacation. Will you give us a full report so we can live vicariously through you? My family is going camping this weekend. Supposed to be a high of 65 degrees for Sat. and Sun. Fine by me if it doesn't rain

Morning all everyone! It's getting closer! I think I'll have to look into Shirley doing me some special gift baskets for the kids staterooms for the Christmas cruise. That would be fun, I could pay ahead of time, and that money wouldn't even really count towards the vacation........my justification for the whole thing!

Anyway, got a busy day. We have our annual meeting tomorrow, got visitors from our national office and meetings, meetings, you know what I mean.

Good Morning!

I have to run in to the office and do payroll, but hopefully will be back to check in once before we go.

Vicki....I would LOVE to treat everyone to dinner on the cruise, whether I win or not! One dinner at Lumiere's is on me!! (Talk about generous, can you beat that?) LOL

gaRry....believe it or not, I AM working on nabbing you a certain Mustang. My friend's dad has one that he was always going to restore, but so far hasn't. My friend says that she won't ask him about selling it, because she wants it. She'll never do anything with it! So the next time I see "Dad" I'm going to ask him myself!!

Theresa....do not be misled by how quiet things have been here lately....this group can get pretty nutty. But we are all (well, almost all) totally harmless, and just excited about meeting and having a great cruise!!!!

Well I got in touch with Shirley and we are going to talk about finding a place for the "kids" while we cruise ... my four legged ones that is! That will be a load off my mind if I can get that firmed up!

Okay since I'm on blasted AOL I will not be able to chat .... so who is going to chat here....
DH is off to fire school and I have the computer and the evening all to myself.

Mary.. are there any DIS meets scheduled around Member homecoming time? We'll actually be up there but we're not attending the Homecoming events.

Morning all, Missed most of you in chat last night. David, Mary and I were there for a while. And we were graced by MarkRG as well! It was nice chatting with the other half of Mark and Mary for a bit.

DS is off on his horseback camping trip. Hopefully he behaves. We had to shop for the food before he left, and he wasn't the most cooperative kid in the store. He kept insisting that he could get it all himself and just wouldn't listen to me. After a major "Look, one more time racing around with that cart, and you're not going camping!" lecture he finally chilled. In a true miracle, I actually didn't know anyone in the store at the time (which is EXTREMELY rare down here, since it seems like I know half the county!) so Thank God for small favors.

Paul and GaRry, enjoy your OT. Virgil, enjoy your weekend off (sounds like you deserve it)! Mark and Mary, enjoy your packing. Hey, I'll pack for you if you take me with you! I'm a really good packer too. (Have zip locks, will travel!)

Hi All! I sometimes do visit cruise chat and always visit the Sunday DVC chat. I have something else now that usually conflicts with the Friday chat, so I'm not available alot lately.

Now don't take my silence in this thread for anything other than the following: What writing you get from one of us is usually the opinion of both of us, especially when it comes to Disney. Lisa got that firsthand last night, when Mary and I are both in chat, we usually have the same response to everything, lol. We've been very busy this weekend getting ready to go to WDW for Member Homecoming which I should get back to now.
