Good morning all!

We had a summer day in Chicago yesterday - got into the 80's! We even had to turn the air on last night as it was so muggy.

Then a storm came through. I think we might get more rain this weekend.

We are having our Easter dinner tonight (just a week late) now that FIL is feeling better.

Oh yeah ....

We cruise in 35 weeks!

Happy Saturday all. When all our vacationers get back, Welcome back! Most should be popping back in over the next few days. Although some will be popping back out again. Paul are you heading out too?

It was a pretty quiet chat last night, but we did have a new add to our cruise. Someone named stingfan will be on our cruise, with his family (includes a 15 and 19 year old, and an elderly aunt). They are doing vow renewal. Family is from South FL (I think they said Palm something county?? stingfan when you join us, correct my mistake please??? Leslie (PinDiva) is also from South FL, but she's moving to Orlando shortly.

Mary and David, you guys had signed off before stingfan was able to get chat to work. He'd been popping in and out since the beginning.

Mary and Mark, enjoy your Easter dinner. I'm glad your FIL is feeling better.

Stacey Hope the visit doesn't keep you completely away form the boards. Things might slow down tooo much.

Hello Everyone!

I've tried to go through old emails to catch up but I am wayyyyy behind.

Just back from WDW it was Great! We also just bought at Saratoga Springs! Yipee........that means more Disney trips!

Welll any way, We booked this cruise when the tickets went up for sale and I just can't believe it is coming up so close!

I was wondering if someone could provide me with the information regarding the local hotel that is (hopefully still) availabe for those who are flying in early? We are coming in from Boston and our son for Los Angeles (college). And want to stay near the ship.

Hey, did the Disney or Roy suite guests check into this site yet? I would love to meet my neighbors! We are in 8038.

a great big Welcome Home! as a new DVC member.

I think a lot of this group is staying at the Raddison the night before. Some others are staying at the new Ron Jon Resort. DH and I are using our DVC points and staying the day and night before at Vero Beach (we own there but have never stayed there before).

Welcome back Therese! Haven't heard from any of your cruise neighbors.....a couple of us are on deck 8, but we have been delegated to the waaaay back of the ship! We're in 8584.

Welcome home to all of our weary (but very very happy travellers)
I'm one of those who is leaving for a few days. Maybe I'll go buy a lap top. No, can't do that...it would take me months to learn to use it. We had a portable DVD player still in the box since before Christmas.....DS (age 10) finally opened it and showed me how it worked!
I still haven't figured out all the buttons and knobs on my new car. I just about drove off the road when I discovered that the radio tells me what song is playing, and the name of the artist! I'd never heard of such a thing, but the kids all knew. MX something....or something like that.....digital....???

Sounds like we really missed the boat by not going to look around Wilderness Lodge......will have to make that #1 on the list next time.

Better head off to start my day.....Have a beautiful one!

Preparations for cruise:
Reading every book & magazine I can get my hands on to figure out what we want to see on the islands.
Making lists of what we'll need. (Not like I don't do this all the time, but one can never be too careful)
Not working on losing weight, yet....I work better under pressure!
Trying to figure out how to break it to our family members that we won't be here for Christmas!!!!

Vicki - I leave for Vegas at 6am on Monday, then I take a red eye flight out of Vegas on Tuesday evening and get to Orlando at 5:30am on Wednesday. Sounds like fun!

Thanks Mary! The hardest part is the red eye flight. Last year instead of sleeping on the flight I watched the movie so I was exhausted by the time I made it to WDW. I was lucky enough to be able to check in right away so I changed, went to the pool, fell asleep and woke up with a nice sunburn! Oh well, thats all part of the vacation experience!

So the lesson learned (and this works for the cruise too). If you are tired when you lay by the pool or on Castaway Cay - lay in the shade and don't forget your sunscreen.

Can't have ruining a vacation!

I just found this site last evening, although we are long time Disney fans. We have taken 3 Disney cruises so far and can't wait for Christmas! My husband and I will be renewing our vows while on the cruise, which will make it that much more special. Let me know if anyone has done the vow renewal, and if so, what to expect.

I thought that I should clarify Vicki's description of DH's blue hair. He had his hair cut on Main St. that day and I had the CM put in blue hair gel to make the Mickey confetti stay in all day. Well, she decided that he needed a blue Mickey on the back of his head for all to see. What a great first impression that must have made on Vicki, gaRry and the kids. I guess it wasn't too bad, they kept our dinner date with Virgil and family.
Both dinners went very well with good food and good company. The kids seemed to have had a very good time together.

Welcome Stingfancb. Where are you from in Florida? We have family that we visit often in Boynton Beach, Plantation and Dania. I also have very close friends that live in Tampa.
