Playing hooky here in NY today, decided to take the day off and play golf!

Try to catch you all on the cruise chat tonight.

Morning everyone. Mary, welcome back and congrats on the top AND 5100. Can you remind me what I told you I'd write about for the next newsletter, and when you would like the input? I've forgotten already.

Charlotte, yes, I'm loving this forecast! We have some yard work to do to fix the hurricane damage we had. I hope it's nice next weekend for the boy scout camporee.

I hope things are okay with Lynda. We haven't heard in a while.

And best of all, HAPPY FRIDAY!

Lisa (and anyone else that would like to share something for the newsletter) our topic of the month is:

Next Month - What are you doing to prepare?

This was supposed to be this months topic until I remembered St. Thomas. As our cruise gets closer and closer what are you doing to prepare for the cruise. Are you trying to lose weight (like me)? Making lists and checking them twice? Have you started packing yet (gaRry that one is for you)? Let me know and I'll share it with the group.

Lisa I thought you had said you wanted to write something about what you do on Sea Days so you are more than welcome to do that. Honestly anything you would like to write about I'm sure people would love to see.

My goal is to get the newsletter for May done by the end of the month so anything people can give me by April 27th would be very welcome.

I've just made a reservation for the Backstage Safari @ the Animal Kingdom next week. Has any one done this tour?

Paul

I'm signed up for it May 18...Hope it's as good as I think it will be...Cash will be allowed to go and I can hardly wait to get some pics of him watching the animals!
In January he had a great time watching the big fish in the Living Seas exhibit...Got some great pics, too! He 's a very funny dog!...
One thing I was warned about was that the jeep for the safari might not be the most accessible vehicle in the world...Any info you could bring back on how difficult it is to climb up into one would be appreciated...

I did see some postings talking about Cash (I don't know what about) but I hope everything is okay with him Lynda.

It took a bit for him to stop limping but I took him off to the vet with Carrie, Penny, and Ollie.

Yup, scorpion stings...He's better, thank you all...Carrie has a torn ligament in her knee...Thank goodness not hip displasia! Penny is too fat and she and Ollie had an over population of fleas....
Good thing I've already paid for the upcoming vacation.....

No time for fluff lately....Now I'm down to the 2-week mark I'm finding a zillion things I still need to do.......Documents should arrive by FED-EX today..HOORAY!!!

Happy crusin' all you lucky people...I'll be there in a while...Keep an eye on my staterooms for me...

#6154 (Magic)... #6154 (Wonder)...

The designated Service Dog staterooms......

Lynda, glad to hear you're okay (and Cash too).

Who's coming to visit in chat tonight? Mary, Charlotte, David, Gail??? Any other takers? We won't bite too much (I promise I won't even though I've got the teeth for it!)

Lisa,

You know you can count me in. Hope we get a good crowd. For those of you who haven't done it - chat is a lot of fun - especially with this chatty group. Its a great way to meet other DIS'ers as well who love DCL as much as we do. So stop on by and join the fun.

 A really quick hi!

Paul....LOL...the good thing for guys is that you probably already lost that 5 dream pounds!

Will check in alter if I can...no chat....busy busy busy.

Stacey

Cool, I get post 5110! :)

Ugh. I must leave here in about 30 minutes. I'm taking my kids to a children's science museum in Dayton for a homeschool overnight adventure. I'm required to stay. So I'll be sleeping on "carpeted concrete" tonight per the brochure I received! It *SOUNDED* like such a good idea when I signed them up, but now I'm not so sure!

I think I'll just pretend I'm sleeping on the floor of my verandah.

Catch ya tomorrow --if I can move after sleeping on carpeted concrete.

WOW you all have been busy!!!

Had a great time at WDW - Great meeting with barb (jilljill) and Vrigil(WVMD)also known as princess: & pirate: Even got to meet barb's DH with blue hair and all (shhhhh it's a secret):D
The seafood buffet at Cape May was wonderful and the dinner at Whispering canyon is an experience in its self. Everyone needs to do that if you haven't.

I know there were lots of meet pics taken and we will send ours to you Mary for posting when we get back to michigan.

Stace I have pictures of the pink castle we can send you one if you would like. just pm us.

Like Lisa my first time at disney was our honeymoon. At that time you could buy a lifetime ticket to the park - what I wouldn't give for one of those now. Went back for our first anniversary and have been hooked every since!!!

Glad everyone has had a good week - GaRry will probobly get on chat tonight if he can get my parents computer to do it.

Starting the rest of the trip home tomorrow - :( :( :(
Talk more then

- by the way I get either 7000 or 8000 since you gave my 6000 to charlotte unless of corse I pull a virgil
pirate:

Vicki
:boat:

Vicki - I'm sorry - I honestly don't remember that you called 6000. I'll let you and Stacey work out who gets what. Sorry :(

Vicki - I ate at Whispering Canyon last year when I went to WDW. I thought it was a nice romantic restaurant. Too bad I was there by myself!

Paul

Paul - Eating alone is never fun, though sometimes it can be very relaxing. are you sure it wasn't artist point, that you remember? Whispering canyons, just off the front lobby, is not what I would refer to as a romantic meal, even if you are with your significant one. DH wondered if maybe your had been in HIS wine before you ate there. Did you try the Salmon- smoked on the cedar shake? It is from your area. Which ever one you were at I'm sure you enjoyed the company.
Have a great time next week wish we could be there to keep you company. (that way I could stay longer at WDW.)

Enjoy your weekend everyone!!

Vicki
:boat:

Vicki - You're right. But I did at least know it was at the Wildeness Lodge!
As far as the wine goes, it must have been the wine that made me stupid. It's unfortunate that you can't get a good quality screw top wine (like Boones) at WDW!

Paul

:wave2: Hi everyone!
:( Boy, is this going to be a long week with Mom here!
She doesn't "get" this whole Disney discussion thing, so it makes it hard for me to get on and just chat with you all.

Lisa, the name of my sister in law's brother's band is Audio Adrenaline. I wasn't even close. Have you heard of them?

HELLO Lynda. So glad Cash is feeling better. Now let's get those other pups taken care of! Had my grandpuppy all day...Megan was showing him off to her grandma, so I took him on some errands to show him off to my friends at the post office, accountant, bank......
You really are getting down to the wire on your trip! Wow, did that go fast??
When we went on the Kilamanjaro Safari, we were in the larger, accessible area of the jeep. The CM's were very helpful, they take plenty of time helping you in, there are bars to grab on to, if you can pull yourself up some, and the steps weren't too high. There was an extra step up, not like just climbing into a regular jeep or vehicle. If you sit all the way to the driver's side, you get better pictures.

Vicki.....I had 5000, so I'm done. Whichever post you & Mary & Charlotte decide....I'm out of the running now. :p Unless the old female pirate: shows up. Tell GaRry we've missed him!!!!!!!!!
So great that so many of you got to meet. I would have loved to have been there. I would LOVE to be ANYWHERE right now!

Tomorrow I have laundry to do, Jared has ball pictures, and I really need to pack for Sunday's trip. I want so much to be on here reading and talking, just awfully hard with company.
If I had a lap top I could lock myself in the bathroom and chit chat. I have a phone line in there!

Hopefully, I will at least get to say hi tomorrow....heading for bed now.

GOOD SUPER SATURDAY MORNING TO ALL OUR EASTS, MIDS, AND BEYOND, ACROSS THE OCEAN, TOO!!!

Stacey

Good Morning everyone. Happy Saturday.

Vicki, It was nice to hear from you. We love the Wilderness Lodge. We had such a great time last August when we stayed there.
It is a very busy weekend. I won't be able to talk to you all that much this weekend. DD and DS have birthday parties and classes. DH is working on our house this weekend. It is suppose to be a beautiful weekend. We will be spending most of it outside.
David, you had a beautiful day for golf yesterday. I will give you a ring next week. This week flew by so fast.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. I will try to pop on. Fondly, Gail
