Good morning everyone!
The wonderful thing about a road trip is time to talk to DH.
As some of you may know from reading other links on our web page - DH MarkRG was the one who organized the DIS meet on our DVC Member Cruise. We put buttons together for everyone with their DIS name and real name so that everyone could get to know each other. They were a big hit and many people wore them during the cruise. It was fun to be walking down the hall and seeing other DIS'ers.
So when we went to the Michigan DIS meet this weekend DH brought prototypes of the buttons he wants to make for that meet (he bought a button machine). Here's a pic of DH (in the back) with some of our friends from the Member Cruise wearing their buttons.
I'm sure you can all tell where I'm headed with this. We're going to make buttons for the cruise. Here is the design I came up with.
I'll be putting more info in the April newsletter. Just wanted to give you all a sneak preview.

Mary - the buttons sound like a great idea. I really like the design. I am putting together a list and a DIS meet for April 10th cruise and they all think I am doing so much work. But I keep telling them it's nothing, you should see what DISers are doing for our Christmas cruise. You guys are all great and thanks again for doing so much work.

Lynda - could you have my DD's face painted like Queen Amidalla (sp?)?
Just kidding! She loves Queen Amidalla and when we were there for SW weekends last year, every time we went to MGM she had to have her face painted. We even bought the makeup in the SW store so she could do it herself at home. What a sight.
When we were there 2 weeks ago they didn't have the queen on the board but other SW characters so she asked about it and they actually had to pull out a book to look at the design. I am picturing Cash in a Jedi cape though. Would love to see a picture of that.

You know orthopedic surgeons they are 
just like ER docs.
Lisa - hope DD is feeling better and on the road to recovery.

Okay Everyone! In less than 2 weeks we will be on that big, beautiful, "Magic". I know the 10 day is still a few months off but if anyone has anything they would like for me to check out please let me know. I will be happy to do what I can.
We will be on the Western cruise so about the only port I can check out is KW. We are doing a jet ski tour there, so we will see how it goes.

Welcome Charlotte..... It is going to be a great cruise.... We've already had so much fun and become such friends - it's hard to believe that it's still a little over 8 months away......
Well - another day at work.... going to be working the next 10 of 11 days... the price to pay for being gone for a week... Oh well... I guess it'll be worth it - Hey what am I saying? - I KNOW it will be worth it...

Morning everyone. Since I'm basically just killing time in the mornings, I decided I'd do my DISing then. Had to laugh at the slimy things. I read back 3 pages to figure out what type of slimy thing we were talking about! And man, I hate them too!
Out our way, it's generally copperheads or black snakes with an occasional water snake. DH is fascinated by them, and wanted to pick one up for a pet once (a black snake, not a copperhead!). I told him absolutely NOT!
Welcome Charlotte to the group. We are also going with my in-laws. Their 50th anniversay was in late 02, but they weren't willing to travel by themselves. We tried to book them with us on our Jan 03 trip, and Dad wasn't willing because of some health problems. But we finally convinced them that they would really enjoy it, so they're coming on this one.

Thanks for the warm welcomes - it's been fun reading the early posts and seeing how friendships have been developing since you started this thread.
Mary - Great job on the newsletter! Just finished reading all the issues....how nice of you to take time to put them together......really informative!
Lisa - we're in Maryland, too - we live halfway between Baltimore and Washington, DC. That's wonderful you could convince your inlaws to come along......didn't I read an early post about your MIL being a cancer survivor? Even more reason to celebrate! I was also reliving Hurricane Isabel when I read some of your posts. We got hit hard - lost several old, huge trees on our property - some were totally uprooted and toppled over in one piece. We lost electricity for almost a week......yard was covered with branches, tree limbs - just a mess. But, our house wasn't touched while our neighbor's barn was destroyed....so we were lucky.

Ok guys, I think now I'm going to be officially in trouble when DH finds out what I have just done 
, I just emailed DU to add the REAS package I'm not going to tell him for a long while, will be his Christmas gift.
Am I going to be sorry or is this really worth the extra money?!?
We have not been to the spa and neither of us has had a massage before. I got DH a massage GC to be used after we move, one of those ones that comes to your house. I figured he will need it then.

Isn't Gail a sweetie? We tried to talk her and John into sailing with us on the 10 day but haven't had success yet.
Mark did tape the race so I'll be happy to send it to you. Give me a day or two to get it in the mail.

Good Morning, Stacey....Alright, alright, if you can wait until May, Cash said come on ahead and join us if you would just quit begging....We don't have a piano, but there's only two of us in that stateroom for....three?...four? and the trip starts out on May 1 in a two-bedroom condo....lots of room!
