What type of dog are you thinking about?

Flat Coated Retriever :)

There may be a puppy ready NOW, we are waiting to hear back from the breeder, but with a 2 week Disney/cruise vacation starting at the end of this month, we may have to pass on it and wait for another litter somewhere.

Hoppy Easter everyone! :wizard:

Stacey: you mean you don't get enough bull around here?
  :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sorry.. just couldn't resist that!

My DH is addicted to WWTBAM. Every time we go to WDW we have to go and play until he gets into the hot seat. And he DOES get into the hot seat almost every time. We have so many shirts, pins and hats that we finally stopped accepting them since they actually send you a 1099-Misc on them if you win over $600 worth (Let's just say they value that stuff VERY high) Anyway.. since he has so much useless knowledge about a lot of stuff, he does pretty well. Unfortunately, entertainment and pop culture usually are his downfall. It's usually something in one of those type catagories that gets him every time. It's a lot of fun though and once we get it out of the way we can enjoy the rest of the parks... Luckily they put the 30 day ban on or we would be there every show of every day we are there. There are several "regulars" at WDW, esp since the prize is now the cruise and not a trip to NY. DH keeps telling me one of these days he'll win it.... but I tell him I'd rather be on the 7 night anyway. :boat:

Gail: Glad to hear you are back safe... thanks for taking the nasty weather with you.. :teeth: Hope all of your construction goes well.
Thank goodness ours is done and as long as the closing goes smoothly we'll be staying at our new place next weekend!:jumping1: Yippeeeeee!

OhioMinnie: Flat Coated Retrievers are beautiful, but you are right, just like Goldens they get big... and hairy!! We are lucky that our female is very petite and so the puppies were also relatively smallish size as goldens go.

Lynda: sorry... no good on Scrooge McDuck.. good try though!

LeiLani: I hope you are taking lots of pictures of the suite that you will share!! I'd love to see how the other half lives!! Not that I haven't loved my steerage rooms...

Okay... gotta clean up before the kids get here.

Thanks Stacey and Gail,

yes we are blessed with 2 healthy, beautiful children.

I already have the shotgun on order to put over the mantle, just to try and keep the boys away from my daughter ... LOL

- David

:p David...my DH is a card-carrying member of th NRA....he's ready, too! But ours is very, very close...she's almost 14!

Leslie: :teeth: VERY GOOD comeback.....and that ain't no bull!
Maybe your DH and I should team up for WWTBAM...entertainment and pop culture are my better ones! It's my DH that has all the history and geography smarts. We usually have to put our 2 heads together to get one answer. I'll think of someone's first name, and he comes up with the last name! Guess it works....till we get too old to remember anyone's names! ;)

I'm going to go see if I can find out what a flat-coated Retriever looks like. Sounds very interesting. I've never heard of one.

Then signing off to go to the show.

Later,
Stacey

COOL.....T.O.P.????

Those Retrievers are GORGEOUS!!!!

You just HAD to make me go and look.....and I'm such a sucker for puppies. The site I looked at had a picture of one-week old puppies! Oohhhhh......so cute! Now I want one.

I also just lookd up the Flat-Coated Ret. They are beautiful dogs. We have a yellow lab 8 years ols. She still acts likea puppy. She is on the small size about 60lbs. I never heard of this type of dog until today.

LeiLani, It was nice to hear from you. Have a great trip. Enjoy the suite. I am looking forward to hearing all about it when you return.

Mary, Thanks for the website on the Magic and Wonder. Very cool. It looks beautiful today in Florida. Rain, Rain go away in NY!!!!!!!!!!
Mary, Can you track the Magic the whole week????

Talk to you all later. Gail

GarRy, feel better. I hope you get some rest tonight.

It looks like Lynda hit 4900!!!!!!!!!You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am hitting the hay early. Talk to you all tomorrow. Gail

Back from the rodeo. The bulls weren't as rowdy as yesterday. I think out of 20 riders, only one had a qualifying run.

I was sort of thinking about heading to bed early, too.....too much sun & fun! You can tell you're getting old when it's exhausting to sit in a chair and watch young fellas get thrown from horses!

Gail, did you see Verandah Man's "Sun-Kissed Wonder" thread on the regular cruise board? Very cool picture of the Wonder today. I just know Virgil and his family are having a great time right now! I can't wait to hear if they broke the "Christmas Cruise" news to their DD.

Think we'll hit 5000 tomorrow....or not until Tuesday??

I'm going to go snoop around the boards....if I don't get back over here....

EVERYONE HAVE A MARVELOUS MONDAY MORNING!!!!

And a good night!

Stacey

Good Monday morning!

Hope all had good weekends! Oldest DS finished up his spring baseball camp and surprised us by winning his 7-8 yr. old group's pitching contest award! He was very happy! ::yes::

GaRy - So sorry to read about your son's horse and your back....not a fun one-two punch for your family. Are the pain pills helping yet? How's your DS doing with the horse news?

Bummer on HersheyPark yesterday - It rained all day.....never made it up. In fact, it's raining now and supposed to rain for the next 3 days. :umbrella:

Gail - Welcome home! We did Dutch Wonderland several years ago - it was o.k. - geared towards the very young. Since then, HersheyPark has bought it and supposedly made several upgrades to the area. They do have a combo admission plan that includes both theirs and HersheyPark.....here's a link: lhttp://www.dutchwonderland.com/admission.html. They also have evening-before preview hours, but, they're not open on Friday, 9/17.......will be open on 9/18 and 9/19, though.

We used to have a wonderful Crayola Crayon store at a huge mall in Maryland until about a month ago, when Crayola decided it wasn't turning enough profit on it and closed the doors overnight. It was bizarre - one day it was there......the next day the doors were locked, paper over the windows and the entire store had been cleaned out. No sales, no advance notice. Poof - gone!

Hi Stace - Rodeo Mama! Glad you had some fun and sun out your way!

Ms. Walt Disney Suite LeiLani - Whoo hoo! How is it?! Thought about you on sail-away day......enjoying all that room and pampering! How do the DD's like it? Are you going to be spoiled for only a Cat.1 from now on?

Virgil's gone, too? Wow! Cruise on, Doc! :boat:

Hi Matt! So glad you liked Hawaii! The flight over is long, isn't it?! Wishing you luck that your house sells soon......are you moving permanently to FL?

Well, off to a soggy Monday! Later!

Good morning all!

Spent yesterday away from the internet and working on our scraprbook from our December trip. Felt really good to finally have it finished and also to relive all those great memories!

Now I can work on preparing for our May trip and also the cruise!

Yes we are really close to 5000 - halfway to gaRry's goal of 10,000 posts!

Wonder who is going to take the magic number!

Happy Monday Morning everyone.

Stacey, I would appreciate the link to Verandah Man's site to see the Wonder. We orginally booked the Wonder for this week. BooHoo as DH a few months back said he had to work and with the construction with the house going on we canceled. I am so glad the weather is beautiful for Virgil and LeiLani. This is the longest strech for us not going to WDW. The last time we were there was Dec 16-24th 2001. We are all looking forward to going!!!!!
Charlotte, Thanks for the info. on Dutch Wonderland. I check it out yesterday. We are going to go to the Crayola Factory on Friday 9/17. We are going to pull DD and DS out of school.
I would of perferred doing it on the way back instead but Crayola is closed on Mondays. We have decided that we will leave Sunday late afternoon from Hershey instead of Monday. Originally we were not going to pull them out on Friday we were going to drive after school. We changed that plan. I would of liked to leave on Thursday but it is our holiday and the family comes to us for that.
GarRy , I hope you are feeling better today. I also hope Disney is easing the pain a little for your family in regards to your loss.

Weather in NY, mostly cloudy but rain is on it's way for three days. YUCK!!!!! Where is spring????? I hope it arrives soon.
Have a great day everyone. Talk to you later.-Gail

Morning all. Yes, it's cold and rainy down here too. Luckily the rain held off until we finished church and Easter dinner. It was gray and damp, but it really poured about 1:30 on! Made for a lazy Easter. Good thing the kids are too old for Easter egg hunts!

Charlotte, very good news for your DS. Congratulations!

Matt, welcome back from the islands! Glad you had fun! Good luck on the upcoming move, and house sale. Your realtor is probably right, things usually pick up at the end of the school year since lots of people don't like to move during school.

Got to love those new pictures. Diana, Alicia looks great! My DD is starting to grow up too, but she's not quite as grown up as Alicia yet (a year does make a big difference at that age!). And David, yes you have very cute kids. Definitely time for Dad to start working on those daughter protection skill (an evil glare can do wonders!).

Gail, welcome back from FL. Sending you some pixie dust with to go with the other dust you've got! Glad to hear that DD made a friend down in FL. I know what you mean about no car. We visited my mom once without a car (she lives south of Ft. Meyers) and it does get old. We swam a lot, and took many walks around the complex. My mom still works 4 days a week (in the evenings), so time did go slow.

Happy Monday everyone!

Good Morning all

Anyone else watch the Masters Golf Tournament yesterday?

It was incredible!

- David

GOOD MORNING CRUISERS
nice sunny morning here 31 outside going to 50 they said
D W has lots of rain. bad storms down there.
0530 I'm outta here so no posting for the week for me. I 'll try to post in the morning before I leave just to say HI.
I've got my D S looking for an old mustang car for us to work on,
I think that helps with his sadness. when he gets back thats going to be the tough part. So if anyone sees or knows of an old mustang sitting around for sale let me know reward of 1 case of non corked wine very vintage year (2003) it does not need to run thats the good part hoping for most or all of the parts too be there. so let me know
well lots to get done today last few have been slow and not much gotten done.

jilljill still looking to see you:teeth: ::yes::

well off to do something today I hope.

have A good day all.

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I did exactly what I said I was going to do....and was in bed by 7:30. I decided I won't blame it on being old...I'll blame it on the sun and the margaritas!

Gail, I'm not sure I am technologically advanced enough to put the link on here......I'm on my knees begging Mary to do it for us!!
I am going to try to figure it out, tho.....I think I can, I think I can....Or I could use Professor Harold Hill's "Think System". (Any Music Man fans out there that know what I'm talkin about?)

Charlotte...glad you all had a nice weekend....HOORAY for your son!!! I was always partial to pitchers...till I met DH, the first baseman! My son has no desire to pitch....no matter how much I hounded him! He likes playing catcher.

Okay....gonna go see if I can provide a link for Gail.

Back in a second.

Stacey
