I definitely like the green on the blue MUCH better! Funny how you wouldn't think it would look like that.

Hi all. Thought I should stop by and say hi before I leave for a week. Back to Texas again (Amarillo this time).

Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there. DD says to tell everyone hi. She's here, since I'm actually at home for once!

On the shirt, I truly just want what the majority of people get. Considering that I still have our lime green tie-died ones, that's proof that I'll wear anything

Stacey, I really liked your cowboy joke. I'm always looking for clean corny jokes for the scouts.

I managed to get a funny looking sunburn yesterday at the pool. I always use the coppertone sport spray sunscreen (it goes on kind of like bug spray, and dries right away). I started using it on DD's braids on our first cruise to keep her scalp from burning. Anyway, I just had the first burn while using it. We were at the end of the bottle, and I guess it must not be very well mixed up down there (or maybe I was just squirting out air instead of sunscreen). I have polka dots where the sunscreen was, and lots of red where it wasn't. And it's mostly on my legs, so it's pretty visible! At least no one in Texas will know me, so they can laugh all they want!

I finally settled on my formal/semi-formal clothes. You might remember that I had ordered a long skirt to go with the tops I had. Well, I got a card that the item was no longer available, so I was pretty grumpy since that was the 2nd time I'd had that happen with that company. While I was cleaning out the closet Saturday, I came across a really nice pair of black slacks. When I tried them on with the blouses, they looked nice, so I'm finally set. Fancy black pants go great with a beaded pink top AND a shiny bronze top. Now if I can just stop DD from growing so that her dresses fit her next Christmas! She's gone up nearly 4 short sizes since last summer! And she had worn the same size for 2-3 years before that. The bathing suits I bought her for the cruise are still too big though, so I hope they'll fit in December.

Evening everyone - just thought I'd check in and say hello. DH and DS finished putting in my rock fountain this afternoon. It's right next to my screened in veranda and I'm lovin it. Plus, it's got a light in the bottom of it which makes it "very romantic". All I need now is a little Sting playing in the backround and I'm all set!
Hope all the cruisin' dads had a great weekend. How much longer??????

Cindy...that sounds so nice! But, weren't you supposed to be doing something for DH while he rested today??? You sound like a very smart woman!

GaRry....are you only making tie-dye t-shirts for the WDW trip? If you are making a plain one, I might trade you with a tour of the GF! (See how generous I am?)

Well, out of here for now. Taking DH to his elegant dinner at Taco Bell (payback for Mother's Day). Then we're going to watch our friends play softball. Taking the dog to play in the park. Just a tactic to get him tired so he'll sleep all night! (the dog, that is)

Many years ago I was sunscreening dd and then I put my hand on my thigh to support myself while I got up from the ground. Well, didn't think about it then, but after sitting in the sun for a couple hours I realized that my whole leg was tanning/burning except for a perfect white handprint on the top of my thigh! Took awhile to even out that mark!

Oh please!!!! DH (Boyd) went golfing this morning - he spends enough time resting!!!!! No really, I told him he could just spend the day watching the Open, but he enjoyed "playing" outside in the dirt with our DS (Chris). Of course, he enjoyed a few brews while playing and is now resting comfortably.
