That's us up here in the Northeast...trying to get to work...

Nikki - Great picture. Really made me laugh. We're up to 21 F and bright sun here in Michigan.

Currently in Downtown Boston, a refreshing 13 deg. F, with a WNW wind at 23 MPH, making for windchills of...oh....let's say...-4? That's not TOO bad, is it? Should feel warm outside!

The poor bear actually looks so taken aback in the image...it made me laugh on a bad day. :) Had to share it.

To balance some of your "bad" days, I'm having a great day.

Judi and I went to our daughter's 1st / 2nd grade classroom to assist. She is teaching about plants and Judi planted bulbs in a glass bowl with stones / earth to force. The kids all helped and will measure progress each week, learn about the amount of water the plants need, write in their science journals, and learn about the blooms when they show up.

It's been a long time since I was with 20 six - eight year olds. It was a fun experience. After that Judi actually bought lunch for me. Nothing like a "free" lunch to make your day. I think the bright sunshine and clear, blue sky help also.

Judi talked to her dad in Naples, Fl, who said it was 80 F outside. I can't wait.

I'm sorry there are so many lousy days out there for my friends! Mine's ok, packing, cleaning etc. I'm pretty exhausted and need a nap!

You can send Jill cards after 2pm CST tomorrow, cause that's when her party starts and I don't think she'll be online checking out her mail until it's over. And when it is over I think you'll be seeing her on the thread!

Hey everyone,
I just got this email from Ruth at Capt. Marvins. For those of you who are interested, the weather looks great! Renae
Renae,
The weather in February is usually in the mid-80s for temperature, and the
water temperature is about 80 degrees. It's usually not quite as warm as in
October. Thanks, and see you soon!

Dean,
Put us down for late seating. It was a hard choice, because my DMIL has diabetes and has to eat often, but we figured out a way for her to eat early and late if she wants to stay up that late. On our last cruise, we ate early one night because of another commitment, and it was so noisy with kids that we decided to stick to late seating from then on. That long, leisurely dinner is a perfect way to end a day::yes::

Dean,
That's a good one, I'll be laughing in my sleep tonight and Eric will wake me up to find out what's so funny... poor guy!

For whoever said they need a limo to get to the port, please let me know when you have it and how much it is? I usually just drive my car, but with 8 of us and all the luggage... I don't THINK SO!:earseek: Sheesh what a tight squeeze that would be! We're looking at a van or limo with a driver. I talked to Mears and it's $160 each way for the van and $200 each way for the limo. If we took 2 of our cars we would be able to do it for only $140 parking for the week. They charge $10 per day per car, so we don't know which we will do:confused: but I'll talk to that overworked, tired, sweet man of mine when I get a chance and ask him. I'm voting for the limo!:hyper:
see you soon, Renae

Hi,
Guess what I just realized??? I passed 100 personal posts!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
I'm easy to please, what can I say?

Dean, Thanks for the list, good job!

Just to warm your thoughts up, it's 72 in Orlando today and supposed to be 77 tomorrow!!! That'll toast those tootsies!:teeth:

:wave2: Renae

I'M HERE, RENAE-trying to sneak a little work in here at the office today. Congratulations on post #100.
Can't help you with limo stuff - we're taking the DCL bus and leaving the driving to..... them:)

Back for a second....

We have early seating. Shhhh, don't tell anyone, but we already know our rotation: APLAPLA. Most of you guys already know about this and are sick to death about how we know that. Let's use code.....R.E.A.S.

Not to worry. If you don't like your rotation after checking in at the terminal, just check the Welcome Navigator for where you go to change it once you board. I've never done it, but I think you can change your rotation, seating time, table mates, and even request a specific server if you're willing to follow their rotation.

Count us in on the bus as well. Im actually looking forward to that part of it, the 40 min. "video" they show, and we get to go with Dean too! Cool! I'll talk video games with Matt the whole way. *grin*

Hey, that's great! The driver will be ready to throw us off the bus after having us with him for an hour!

Dean

We'll have him singing YMCA with us, Dean. WHere's your sense of adventure?? *wink*

23. Juli, DH (Ken), DS (Peter-8), DS (John-8) from Waterford, Michigan area, stateroom #6032

Ken is my brother and my nephew. Don't let Tony see this. He'll surely think I have my secret paramour stashed away in a cabin somewhere. He'll really start to wonder if he figures out that the latest DCL charge was for a Romantic Escape at Sea (opps R.E.A.S.)

Oh, can I be the statistician or the waterboy? I need a job.

Juli

You all are having so much fun today. I can tell it's just gonna roll into tonight and keep cruising all weekend.

I'm sorry for the visits by the bad day fairy to some of you. We've had a couple of great days around here. Now we are heading up north for some "warm weather". I think the high will be 28 F!

I had decided not to take the PC and DH (Tony, not Ken, I don't know where Ken is this weekend), called to ask me to bring it.

I will see you at the PJ party with my Mickey Jammies and Slippers and at the bash at Karyn's tomorrow!

Have a great evening.

Juli

Sorry, Juli, musta been one of those senior moments. So, what do you want the group to call your DH? Ken or Tony?

 :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am so glad I logged on. I sure can count on all of you to make me laugh. You have brightened my evening!!

I turned on the computer so that I could submit my payment and reservation request to DU for my R.E.A.S. Of course I had to make a quick stop here and I am glad I did!
:sunny:

I have to join those who had a visit from the bad day fairy. I went to the Dr. today and found out I won't be doing any dancing on this cruise, problems with a bone spur on my heel... MAJOR BUMMER:mad: Oh well, it's not too bad, I can at least watch the rest of you do the hustle without me... maybe I can videotape it for you, (if you want anyone knowing you did that in public)
At least I get to still go on the cruise... I'd really be ticked off if something happened to keep me from going!!!

Let's hope we all have a better day tomorrow,
Renae

That sounds painful, I'm sorry! How do they treat that?? Will this affect your outings/excursions? Should we have Gary and Dean carry you wherever you need, as they are "co-hosts" and therefore must be equipped for this sort of thing?

::yes::

All kidding aside, I hope that it doesnt' hurt too much. And haven't you ever heard of "chair dancing"? I do it every day stuck in traffic getting to Boston... ;)
