Welcome Nancy and family! Sounds like there'll be a whole bunch of girls your daughters' age on board.

Gary - I haven't heard anyone say "Cool Beans" in years! Really made me smile. My sister and I used to say it all the time.

With all the lime green on board - we might start a new fashion trend. I can see all those families going home saying "You wouldn't believe how many people were wearing lime green clothes!"

Janice - so you don't raise chickens - : Do you work for Perdue?

WELCOME NANCY AND FAMILY!! We are so happy to have you join us. This is a real fun group and we are all getting ready for the big day. Since this is your first post, you probably don't know , but I am a co-chair. I'm the quiet reserved one while my partner, Gary, (OKWMEMBER) is the outgoing one who has done an awesome job training me. But, I always manage to beat him to the punch in welcoming all the new faces. Not bad for an old guy.

We're all doing the single digit dance today so hop right in whenever you can. May I add your names to our list?

We have a new term for boat drinks, people...froofroo drinks! I like that so much better. Of course, I'm sure we'll have to think of some macho name for them too, so the men won't be embarassed....

Oh its worse than you think Nikki,

I've ordered a bunch of silly straws.....straws with little metallic palms trees, tropical fish and fake flowers attached to them. I'm going to carry my stash with me and everytime I order a froofroo drink I'm going to plop one of those puppies in the drink.

Bet a lot of people will be jealous!

I'm a beer drinker myself, although I do plan on getting a little wild and daring and drinking *gasp* MIXED DRINKS...

and I'm also the sort that, when ordering a beer in a bottle, turns down an offered glass...as the beer is IN a glass already, right? (or so my mom says) Classy chick here, warning warning!

I think an umbrella or palm tree will be a hinderance in my beer bottle...I could take an eye out or something when I go to take a sip...

Hmm. I wonder if travel insurance covers that.

I am getting a late start this morning, so it took me a little while to catch up. And since I am sleep deprived this week, I read the same thing as Nikki, at first:

I looked at it and thought, well maybe that's for the chickens who are having problems laying eggs. Then I re-read it and I read physiologist. I know a little about physiology and where I work, we have some Research Physiologists who conduct studies... on humans. But I am very interested to know what a poultry phisiologist does!

Janice, I am a worrier by nature, but I won't say "I know how you feel" because, I would have to be in your shoes to know exactly how you feel. But I do empathize with the situation. I am sincerely sorry that you are going through this, period. And then the timing with the trip -- I am sure that is very difficult. I can only say that if you won't know the results until February 10th whether you were on the cruise or at home, hopefully this will be an opportunity to have fun instead of sitting home worrying about the outcome. I hope that everything turns out for the best and it ends up not being anything serious. I will remember you in my prayers. I truly hope that you will meet up with us. This seems like a fun group of people who have the power to make everyone laugh and have a good time.

Watch out for Karyn, she'll think we are ordering "Froto" drinks instead of froofroo drinks. Just excuse her, that comes from one too many trips to see LOTR, ROTK.

Dunno, froofroo just doesn't seem manly enough. Torque-toque? Needo-speedo? Have to work on that.

You know, when you pour a beer into a glass and the glass isn't as cold as the beer, you risk raising the temperature of your cold beer! When I am in a nice place, I wrap the napkin around the bottle. Now, that's classy. I saw a bar tender do this once in a fancy hotel at a cocktail reception. It's a little harder to do after they take the cap off.

From the commercials I've been seeing, apparently if we insert the word "Hemi" in there somewhere, it gets manly...
