Just make sure we are at WDW!
We are going to do like we did this year -- arrive the Friday before.
I am hoping to have MK to myself again marathon Sunday morning. This time I am taking my time and DH can go back to the resort himself!

I would love to run WDW Marathon, but our Marathon here in Houston is the 18th of January. I will definately run 2005.

I missed the marathon THIS year (2003) due to a conflict with a make-or-break trade show in which DH's business was an exhibitor ......wouldn't you know the dates fall on the SAME weekends again in 2004!!!

I may have to run without him.

WDW is limited in the number of entrants. But they did raise the number for 2003. So that made the hotel rooms fill up more than usual.
The expo is at CSR (Friday and Saturday).
There is a fun walk/run Saturday. If you are an ealier riser, the t-shirt this year was a L&S theme.

OK, my DH is planning on running either the 1/2 or full marathon this year.

How soon should I book hotel rooms? Will CRO take ressies now for Jan 2004??? Once I book, will they change the ressie when (if) the codes come out and I can get one?

We love staying at WL, will that be a problem for getting to the marathon and events?

You can book now and get codes, when and if, they become available.
I suggest DU. Book through them, let them know what codes you are eligible for, and leave the hassle to them!

Both. There are some invitations extended to world class athletes, but no qualifier is needed and anyone can register. It does fill up FAST though! It's not the fastest course in the world, although my DH just ran his 5th marathon there last month and did personal best

I want to run in this event SO badly, but as luck would have it DH has that big trade show again at a conflicting time! If the two of us register and he finds there is no way for him to leave Las Vegas early, can someone else run in his place?

No, but if I'm not mistaken he'll be guaranteed entry into the following years race.

I'll be there!
I ran the 2001 WDW Marathon,
and was entered for the 2002, but had to miss it because of stress fractures! So we cancelled the whole trip.

But, I plan on entering the 2004, and train smart, so I dont get any more injuries!!!
I'll be there!

Pintrader, a huge pintrading meet sounds great! My dh would love that!!!

UGH! That's not really the answer I wanted to hear !! I guess I'll have to decide whether or not to spend the money on entry fees based on speculation. Fact of the matter is, he IS expecting to have to be in Las Vegas thru Jan 11, 2004.....but we won't know for certain if he could bug-out early until at least this fall.

drat those difficult decisions!
