We are booked on the three day cruise departing on October 30, 2003. The group includes DW, MIL, DD (10), and DD (5). I am looking for a girl the age of my oldest daughter who she could e-mail with before the trip, and possibly hang out with a little bit on the ship. Anyone out there?

Hi Taylor..
We will also be on the 10/30 Halloween sailing with our 2 oldest grandchildren...GD 8 and GS 6...Also from Michigan!!
This will be our fist Disney cruise (2 other lines for DH & me...first ever for the kids).
If your DD would like to e-mail my GD,....let me know as i'm sure she will love it!
Are we supposed to bring customes for the kids? What about adults? I hope they do the Halloween thing on Thurs night..as Friday we have planned for Atlantis all day (booked a room at Comfort Suites).

112 days is TOO FAR AWAY !!!!

Deb

Hello Deb-

What part of Michigan are you from? We are just north of Auburn Hills.

We were on the 3-day cruise during Halloween 1998. I believe all Halloween activities were on Oct 31. Our oldest daughter was 5, and youngest was 6 months. We actually purchased the costumes at WDW prior to the cruise. It was nice for them to not have to worry about the cold. They had a trick-or-treat scavenger hunt on that cruise. Not sure if it has changed. I don't remember seeing any adults in costume.

If you will be at WDW prior to the cruise you might want to check out MNSSHP. We really enjoyed it last time. It doesn't fit our schedule this trip.

If you would like Kelsey (DD 10) to e-mail your GD, provide me her e-mail address at taylor1751@aol.com. Or you can have her contact Kelsey direct at pianoartist10@aol.com.

We look forward to hearing from you-

Kevin Taylor

When we were on the Halloween cruise in 1998, we had woderful weather. Mid 80 degrees, low humidity, and very calm seas. My only concern at this time of the year is that I believe it could still be considered hurricane season.

Hi Kevin and Deb...Kevin, I emailed you but haven't received a reply from you regarding my daughter Kelsey. She would love to email your daughter. I'll have my Kelsey email yours at the address you provided...ours is: tkpowell@unicom-alaska.com

Since it sounds like we will be at Nassau on Halloween, how does that work with DCL as far as activities for the day? Does that happen later at night? What time do we disembark in Nassau and then re-embark?

Deb, it's our first DCL trip as well.

Since we do have the MNSSHP tickets, how does that work as far as entry/reentry? Do they boot everyone else out at a certain time? We may make that a day where we go to MK in the morning, take an afternoon break at the Poly, then return later for the party, since it stays open until 12 midnight. Which rides were available to use? Thanks!! Kelly Powell

;)

Hi Deb, MNSSHP stands for "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party" which is held on various dates in October. You have to purchase separate tickets (for our party of five, 3 adults and 2 kids, it was $152.00). But apparently you get to stay until midnight and they have a special parade, goodies for the kids, etc.! It sounds like a lot of fun. Can't wait! It is a surprise for our kids though, so ssssshhhhhh.....ha ha!! Kelly

Alaskantwinks....obviously...I don't know much about MNSSHP (now that you spelled it out for me...I've read a little about it). But as for the cruise... we arrive in Nassau around 9am and are there until 11 pm. Since we booked the room at CS..we are planning on staying as late as possibe...probably will switch our dinner seating from early to late just for this reason! I really hope Disney doesn't plan the Halloween activities for this day...because then we'll have to choose ! (NOT FAIR!)If they're using their brains at all..they'll realize that Thurs night is the oNLY night to do the Halloween thing. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Bacrd (Deb) Thanks for the info. on the times we will be getting to and leaving from Nassau. They don't tell you these things in the big booklet that we have. Our balance is due next month, and I requested that they send the documents sooner than the two weeks before we leave, since we are going to be there almost two weeks before we actually go on the cruise! So we may get our docs. in early or mid September.

I didn't realize that the stop in the Bahamas would be that long, we wanted to tour Atlantis too. They do have a tour with a lunch, don't they? I suspect that we will probably just do a day tour and then be back on the boat before dinner though...We will only have a little bit of time on the "boat" as it is, especially since this is our first, so we want to enjoy it fully! Not to mention I want to squeeze in a massage or something in the spa...

TGIF! I was looking forward to tonight. Unfortunately I have cleaning planned for tomorrow.

Cleaning...UKKKK!!
Worse yet...I've got to get up and work OT in the morning (got to pay for this trip somehow. LOL)
Got to get off these boards and hit the bed!!

Later!
