Don't worry, Tia! I am probably being a bit overdramatic. So far I have lived with the kind of unstable economy all of my life
This is, so far, the surest thing I had on the last few years, as far as vacations goes. It is all already set in my job, with my kids and ex-DH.
On the last few years my vacation planning has been really bumpy:
1) Planned to go to WDW with DD, ended up going with DS because on the eve of the trip DD got chicken pox from DS. At least, I was trying to surprise her and she wasn't disappointed
2) Next, I planned the trip with DD again to September 2000. In late April, I discovered that I ould have to take my vacations in early june. This obsessed planner almost got crazy!
3) My Christmas break was changed at the last minute. Had to redo all my plans just 3 weeks before Christmas
Everything worked out in the end, one way or the other. DD couldn't travel at first, but instead of staying for a week we stayed for 2 weeks at WDW, took a cruise and had a more relaxed time together. I managed to travel at Christmastime and had so much fun that it is hard to believe I can enjoy it more.
I dare to say I have plans for 2002! I want to go to WDW in early dec. this time with my 3 kids. If economy allows.
And like George Harrison used to say, I will get by with a help (from the pixie dust) of my Dis friends.
