With winter coming and hurricane season here I thought this was worth the $.

This Sportsman 2000 Peak Watt Portable Generator is $189.15 at HomeDepot.com. With free shipping, this beats the next lowest price by $30. It has a 2.8 HP engine and a 1.8 gallon tank for unleaded gasoline. Sales tax is charged in most states. Hopefully I do not need it but after last year better safe then sorry.

Wow, that is a good deal. We paid a lot more than that for our generator.....and wouldn't you know that the minute we bought it the weather patterns changed forEVER LOL We've not had a need for it in the year+ that we've owned it.....before that our power went out if the weather man even mentioned a storm.

Wow thanks for posting it- after last years storm and us being without power for 10 days!!! YES 10 DAYS! this would be good- now to see if it's strong enough to run the well (the most important thing when the power goes seems to be the lack of water- no toilets, no water) That is the one thing that I missed the most.

nope need at least a 5000 W one. oh well.
