$200 Visa Card offer question

Both my spouse and I have Disney Visa cards, but we still receive offers to apply and get promotions. Today it is a $200 Disney card after first use.

Does anyone know if we can get a new card and get this promotion even if we already have cards? I'm asking if anyone who already has a card has been able to get the offer by getting the additional/new account card.

I have called every number I can find to ask Chase bank (who puts the cards out) and cannot get a representative, only limited options to check my status or begin a new application.

I was able to speak to someone from Chase and she said that existing card members will automatically be declined due to their status as current card holders.

Darn.

I did not ask about canceling current, zero-balance cards and then reapplying. That may be worth asking.

I think I read on disboards that Chase just changed this policy a month or so ago. I got a second disney visa in February with the $200 offer and my husband got one too with the same promotion.

We have a joint card, so I applied in my name individually and my husbands name individually. We both got the $200 gift cards.

Worth a shot. If it doesn't work then you can always cancel the card.

I have two cards! Two separate offers, and I took them up on it.

I just applied for one card with both if us on it, used the card and have already got the first bill but no sign of the gift card yet. Should it have come by now?

@ Granfran, I think it usually takes up to 8 weeks after you pay the first bill, if initial use was the only requirement. You can always give them a call to inquire.

Maybe I should apply for a joint card to see if that would trigger it.

I believe that Chase changed this the end of February Before that you could get up to 3 Chase Disney cards with the bonus, now only one

Is there a special invitation for the $200 gift card? I have Disney Visa....and had added my DH as a signer.....

He applied through the DVC member link for a separate card for himself and the offer is a $100 gift card.

Can we apply for a "joint" card for these offers?

i wonder, if you add someone to an existing account and they use the card are they eligible?
