We always vacation in the summer. I am a teacher and it is the only time we are able to travel. We have not taken a vacation in a few years. My older children are used to the heat and humididty of Florida in the summer but now we have a new little one who has asthma. We plan on hitn the parks at opening and leaving at lunchtime but does anyone have any other suggestions or experinces takng a young toddler (with asthma) in July? The closer we get the more considered I become.
TIA Erin

We took our then just turned 5 son last May. He has Cough Variant Asthma. He was on Pulmicort x1 daily so we had to take our nebulizer and all his maybe meds. He also takes Dehistine x2 daily. We were fanatical about several things; never missing a dose of dehistine or pulmicort, plenty of rest in the cool, and using a stroller(doc said this was a must). Also let him have a pump mister they sale at walmart - helped him stay cool. We brought dvd player in case we needed to be in the cool - my DS is a little busy so that is the ONLY way to be still in the cool. We made sure we were at the parks when the opened to take advantage of the best weather!! We had often riden all the musts before 1pm. We payed close - close attention to him. AK did bother him a little - lots of exotic plants and animals. We had a wonderful trip!!!! I hope yall do to - feel free to PM!!!
