Its worth it especially since kids under 3 are free when doing the parks and buffets! My dad and I took my just 2 yr old last year and he had a blast. We did MGM the first day, MK the next day, and split between AK and EP the next day, with Cirque that night. On check out morning we did Chef Mickeys. We stayed at CR but only went back for a lunch break on one day. Normally he would just fall asleep in the stroller for an hour or so. Before the trip, my son had no fears, but after the 3d movies, and Haunted Mansion, he was afraid of the dark for a few months. We didnt do many rides/shows because 1. it was crowded, and 2. theres only so much you can do with a 2 yr old. We did many rides 2-3 times though. He loved the Indy Cars, carousel, Dumbo, Small World, and the train. We never did get around to Toontown. I got him the Sing Along videos with live characters, and the planning guide for him to watch before we went because he was afraid of Santa. This way he was prepared for some of the characters. The ones that were in the video. he did fine meeting, but if they werent in the video, then he was scared. While there, I took a video and lots of pictures, which he looked at up until the time of our next trip right after New Years (and almost 3). Over that year, he constantly asked about going back to the castle or to see Mickey Mouse. When he saw the comercials on tv, he went nuts. This trip, he knew where we were when we passed DTD on the interstate! He remembered a lot from the previous trip and we did a lot more rides this time, some several times. Take advantage of FP, bring along plenty of snack, water, sunscreen, hat, bubbles (for line waiting), supplies for the little one too. Take lots of pictures too! We did an autograph book and I made small pictures of him and the character, then glued it in with the autograph so he knew who was who. Be sure to ride up front in the monorail, and ask for a pilots license for the scrapbook (the train in MK also has something similar). Have a great time and remember the trip is about your child!
