What will a 2 yr old like at MGM? Some of the attractions seem like they will be boring for a 2 or 3 yr old. What do the experts think the most enjoyable attractions would be for the under 4 crowd?

Playhouse Disney is a MUST!! Voyage of the Little Mermaid and the afternoon parade are good for little ones. Fantasmic can be a little scary for young children although my children have always enjoyed it.

My DS loved MGM when he was 2. As was said by a previous poster, Playhouse Disney was a big hit. He enjoyed the characters that he saw at MGM and was always running up for a hug :D Surprising enough he liked the 3D muppet show also

Fantasmic is a bit loud and may be a bit too much but I saw some toddlers enjoying it-you would know best about your 2yr old.

Playhouse Disney, Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground, Beauty and the Beast, and the Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade are good choices with young children. Little Mermaid and Muppets might be be good, but it has some fairly scarry moments in it as well (a giant Ursula with glowing eyes at Mermaid and explosions and cannons at Muppets). If you think your child will be scarred of these sort of things, you might want to bypass them. There's also a ton of characters. Buzz, Woody, Jessie, Kermit and Miss Piggy are near MuppetVision, JoJo and Goliath from Playhouse Disney are across from Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, Lilo and Stitch can be found near the Animation tour, Mike and Sully can be found near the Commisary, and a ton of characters can be found on Hollywood Boulevard, especially near the Hat.

Hi! SnoWhiteRabbit here, and that's what we did with our little ones in MGM.
-- one trip with my DD 2 1/2 & DD 8 mo
-- another trip with DD 4, DD 2, & DS 10 mo

The Great Movie Ride might be scary and over the head of your 2 year old, but all my little ones did ok with it. The 7 year old should enjoy it, though.

At 2 mine LOVED these!
- Voyage of the little Mermaid
- Playhouse Disney
- Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground
- Beauty & the Beast
- Muppet Vision
- seeing the characters, especially at Al's Toy Barn, Sully & Mike, and at the park entrance
- the parade
- Fantasmic

We enjoyed the 50's Prime Time Cafe, but they didn't understand the premise. This year we'll try the Sic Fi Drive In (I went with Prime Time last time since my parents were with me - and they did understand the premise ;)

Since my oldest witll be 6, we will probably add in the Magic of Disney Animation and the Backlot Tour. (Maybe Indiana Jones - and I may try to sneak into One Man's Dream with my girls if my MIL will occupy the boy :)

Hope that helps!
