2 years ago tommorrow... a thank you

it was a goergeous fall day. temps just right sun was bright, i spent the day at work doing estimates and lining up work for the business till about 3 pm, went by and told dw to shut it down lets go hom early. i then drove my helper home, and was meandering my way home enjoying the day about 330 when right inb the middle of school traffic A DRUNK DRIVER RAN A STOP SIGN DOING ABOUT 95 MPH AND HIT MY SUBURBAN. i had the right half of my face removed in the wreck, and now still am waiting on drs to find a way to repair my eye and eye lids. i lost a years time sitting here trying to get my life ba ck, then have worked at making my life as normal as i could for the last year. now i'm able to work almost full time, and am doing great. thanks to those dissers who h ave made this easier with thier prayers and thoughts and encouragement.

didn't you say awhile back that the drs were getting really close to fixing your eye? ((hugs)) I've been around here for 10 months tomorrow, and I have been reading your posts for alot of that. You can always make a joke or say something funny, you don't sit and mope, like you could be doing. You really inspire all of us. And I think its great that you are getting your life back to normal. for those that missed it,, due to insurance coverage problems, i'm still waiting to go back t o drs, we are hoping that soon i can get some help either from ssi or state to get hte drs payed where i can go back to work.

First of all, I've been around a little while and want to thank you for your funny posts and great attitude. You can inspire many with a lot smaller problems to deal with than yours with your sunny disposition.

Now, didn't that guy who hit you have any insurance?? I can't believe that you are expected to pay for it. I hope things get settled and that you get your eye and lid fixed up. I would think a doctor in your area would do it pro bono.

I wish you well and it really burns me up that we can take people from other countries and work on them over here with the best doctors and charge them nothing but you have to sit and wait for insurance. It is criminal shouldn't charity begin at home? These people are brought to OUR country and housed along with family for very lengthy periods of time FREE. I am not saying do not help others but doctors should care for those in need inside the USA before they go hunting around the world for causes.

I hope that all turns out well for you and soon. I only wish there were some way we could all band together on the Dis and get help for you.
