2 year olds w/o strollers at MK...crazy?

After your update I have a better idea of what you meant, Thanks!

I think you will definately want the stroller for the walks to Epcot and MGM and in both parks. Especially on the return to the resort as all 3 kids will be tired and even taking the boat requires some waiting (standing) and walking. I would also use it at AK amd MK evenings.

As far as MK it is the first park we went without but we started by parking it in each land and touring without as mentioned above. I would try your first MK morning with a stroller to get the lay of the land and see how much you need the stroller. Then if you really didn't need it leave it home the 2nd time you do a MK morning. Honestly, I think a short morning at MK without the stroller in your case is doable but I only see one real benefit and that is not having to lug it on and off the bus. The disadvantages are that someone has to carry all the "stuff", and probably carry a kid or two at some point. If you do need to sit the kids down to regroup or wait for someone in say a food line or bathroom break you can. I would also use it as a cooling off time (like a time out) if one of my dd's were getting antsy or misbehaving. Not to mention its a great parade seat - the sidewalk gets hot!

So play it by ear as you know your family best and have a great trip.

Last year we did Disney without a stroller for several days of our stay. My children never really cared for a stroller after the age of 2. We brought an umbrella stroller from home just in case. We used it for the first 2 days. After that my son decided that he was way to much of a big boy to use it. He wanted to walk with his brother and sisters. It is not impossible or unsafe to not use a stroller with multiple children. Last year our children were 6, 4, 3, and 1.5. Actually, when we took our children to Disney for the first time they were 4, 2, 1, and I was 5 months pregnant. We had brought 2 umbrella strollers with us but they were such a hassle and it seemed as if we were just pushing empty strollers around all day anyway that we decided to leave them in the room the last 3 or 4 days of our trip then too. We rarely use our stroller at home either. We go to either the Zoo, White River Gardens, or the Childrens Museum almost every Saturday just to get out of the house. Basically, if you are used to being around your children alot and take things slowly you will be fine. We get to the parks early and leave late but we make adequate rest stops and mosey our way through the parks. We find that more pleasing anyway.

we are going to wdw in october for the kids first trip. we have a 4 year old and 2 year old twins, and lately the twins have really started to reject their stroller. they just want to walk. DS4 was the same way. We went to the zoo yesterday and walked for 4 hours, stopping to look at animals, but never sitting (they didn't want to stop). They refused the stroller the entire time, so basically it came down to me pushing it around the park the whole time.

dh and I were talking and he really thinks it crazy to bring the stroller to the MK. Let me say that we will only go for 4 hours at a time, then take a break back at the resort. After watching the twins yesterday, he is starting to make sense to me to do it this way, but part of me still wonders if we are crazy.

what do you think?

I don't think you are crazy, but if it were me, I'd bring the stroller, or at the very least you have the option to rent one at the parks. If you are at the parks all day, your children (all of them will want to use the stroller). DD 5, and DS 8, both used a stroller at MK and MGM...they were very tired after just a few hours at the parks.

Have a great trip! :cheer2:
