Interesting. I wonder how old the kid really was. There can be such a huge range of sizes for kids that it would be hard to say who's 3 and who's not. You would think that if they're more concerned with how big someone is that they would base the tickets on height, not age. That would be good for us because DS is not very tall and is closer in size to an average 2 year old! I just about had a heart attack when I realized there was no kid price for APs and we would have to pay full price. But we did it anyway. I just tried not to think about it too much as I was handing my money over.[/QUOTE]

I have no idea, but they had 2 kids and they were both "under 3" so I think that's why the CM was saying that. The smaller one was probably about 2 and I thought that the bigger one was well over 3 myself. He looked like he was 4 at least. They were both in umbrella strollers but the bigger guy barely fit in it.

My daughter got in free when she was 3 nothing was ever said this was 2 months after her birthday in may 08.

We went again in oct 08 the same year and I bought a parkhopper for her she was big enough to ride most all the rides and didn't look 2 anymore.

OMG - our girls are almost exactly the same age. Mine is May 28.... She wants to be 4 in the worst way!

Some kids do look older than they are. My 5-year old son is 49" (the height of an average 7-8 year old) and my 3-year old daughter is 43" (the height of an average 5-6 year old). We've been questioned numerous times (although never at Disney). We always carry copies of their birth certificates. We took them to WDW for 9 days shortly before our daughter's 2nd birthday and again for 2 weeks shortly before her 3rd birthday, entering the parks daily and dining numerous times, and never got questioned once.

My daughter will be three DURING our visit but when I called to book everything they explained that it is what is valid AT THE TIME OF BOOKING that counts! So even though she turns three that weekend we are happy to have been honest and still saved $$

THat is a bummer for me. My dd was 2 when I booked but turned 3 before we go next week so I bought her a 3 day ticket and character meals. I knew I could probably get away with it but I have to be honest.

Just because you got away with it, doesn't mean it's ok...sorry not to be rude but I hate when people think that stealing is ok just because they didn't get caught.

It just goes off the age of the child the first day of entry for a PH, so if they are turning 3 sometime on the trip they don't need a ticket because they were not 3 on the first day of the trip - it is not based on when the tickets were bought.
