2 year old fast pass

We are travelling to Universal and will be using fast passes. Since my son is over 36 inches he can go on a few rides like Kong and Flight of the Hippogryph. But since he us 2, I dont have to get him a park ticket. Can he still use the fast pass lane with us, or would he need an actual park ticket and fast pass of his own?

the express pass is your hotel key. every person in the room gets one. it has nothing to do with the park ticket.

OP might be purchasing the EPs separately. But even so, this thread from a couple of years ago discusse this question and the answer appears to be no, the 2 year old wouldn't need an express pass
