2 WI Adults Spring Break @ Disney A Mar '12 PTR *Update 3/12 We're Back!!*

It was not posted, don't worry! I asked D if she would make a bag for me, and she kindly obliged. I cannot wait to see it!! Will of course post tons of pictures of the bag itself, and me modeling the bag when I receive it!

AWESOME!!!! I'm jealous! :cloud9:

Do we get to know the theme yet? Or are you gonna force us to wait? :lmao:

So jealous and so excited for you! I can't wait!

The theme was Navy. Non-Disney, with a very loud, patterned inside. I can't wait to see it!! I always loved the style of Vera Bradley bags but don't like her patterns. So this will be solid color on the outside with pattern on the inside. I am very very excited about it.

Well well...I ordered Adam some goodies from the Disney Florist today. Here's a little bit of what we got..

This is the Disney Family Treats Bag. (Note, we did not spring for the customization on the bag)
Mickey Mouse heard you were coming to Walt Disney World so he packed all his favorite Disney snacks in this exclusive bag to make your stay extra special.
This zippered tote is roomy enough for lots of snacks on top and insulated on the bottom to keep your drinks cool while you play in the sun. Fresh fruit, bottled water and juice, Chip & Dale salty snacks, Minnie's Bake Shop cookies and even Mickey-shaped rice crispy treats will provide you with a "taste" of Disney. Enjoy this gift throughout your vacation, then bring the tote home to use on all your adventures.

And because I couldn't help myself...

He Be A Pirate
After a day of adventure, head into port to relax with this refreshing pirate booty. Our collapsible, insulated treasure “chest” contains eight different bottles of beer hailing from around the world, tortilla chips, salsa, pretzels and a jar of gold mustard for dippin’. A Mickey-head bottle opener is part of the loot, so you won’t be marooned! And the surest way to get into the pirate spirit is with a disguise, so don yer pirate hat and eye patch, matey! For ye be a pirate!

Someone is sooooo spoiled. :rolleyes1

So, after I ordered I realized that in addition to a $3.45 service charge for each item, they charge a $10 delivery charge PER item! :scared1: I am really not happy about this. If I would have been reading before I purchased, I would have only ordered one item, not because I don't like the items purchased, but I think that when you already charge a service charge per item, to charge per item delivery for items going to the same place at the same time is absolutely ridiculous! But, that is the price you pay when you are not reading and just clicking away.

Those Disney Florist goodies are really cute!!! I'm sure Adam is going to love them!

That's super-annoying about the delivery charges per item though! I guess if they were delivering like 20 baskets that would get cumbersome, but not 2!!

Those look really awesome! What a splendid idea! :) OK - can you pass on the website for these???

Thank you! I am having them delivered on our first night, hopefully while we are out to dinner at Flying Fish.

I love what you've ordered from the Disney florist! Now you've got my wheels turning - I would love to have something waiting on my family members in their rooms when we arrive. Thanks for the idea! :goodvibes

I think I read on their site that or on a thread somewhere that they can't have them waiting in your room upon arrival, but maybe it is different if you are staying club level? I don't remember exactly what it was, but I know that for us we won't be able to have them waiting, which is ok, we will have them by the time we get back to our room!

So, I am resisting the urge to scream, and am going to do my best to just get this post out. After having a fantastic meal, and after completely consuming the entire meal, I go to upload my pictures, and for some reason, all but one of them is unrecognizable to my computer. So, darn it anyway. We may have to try this one a different night, but anyways.....:furious:

Our dinner...

Yep...delicious looking right?

I got those sushi plates and chopsticks from Mitsukoshi on our last trip...so I was excited to get to use them for the second time. We split a roll of sushi and some Sesame Chicken and Terriyaki beef from our local Chinese place. I promise it was all delicious, because it truly was.

Oh no, how frustrating! Well your plates are gorgeous anyways!! I love Mitsukoshi, I could wander in there for hours!

So, here we are sadly. The last day of our trip. So sad to think about, even though there is still the anticipation of being there, there is now the sadness of thinking about the fact that eventually, Adam will have to drag me back on to the Magical Express and back to the airport, on to a plane, and back to Wisconsin, where, if everything goes according to plan, there will not be any snow, nor rain, nor any temperatures below 55 degrees. Because I said so. How was that for a run on sentence.

Ok, now on to the good stuff. Where are we going to eat dinner?

Good question.

We are going to have breakfast at Olivia's Cafe at Old Key West. Soooooo far out of the way from everything, but their breakfast menu sounds soooo good that I can't help myself.

We have an 8:30 PM flight back to Chicago, so I believe that means we are going to be picked up by the ME somewhere around 5 PM...I can't even remember when we had to leave last time. But I remember thinking it was rather early, even for someone that always insists on being to the airport a full 2 hours in advance of the flight.

Anywhooooo....

After breakfast at Olivia's we will head back to Magic Kingdom for a few last minute souvies, and if necessary, use up the last of our snack credits at the Confectionary (Last year we bought 11 squares of fudge to use as gifts for people when we got back. And some of those giant lollipops for friends kids). I hope we plan for better use of snack credits on this trip. Read: Ones that end up in my belly and not someone elses.

Then we are having lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe, their sandwiches sound heavenly. Then, I want to head over to Downtown Disney to grab some sandwiches from Earl of Sandwich for the trip home since we are getting in close to 11 our time. We will stop and pick up any last minute souvies from the Disney Store, and then it should be close to the time to go back to the resort.

And thats it then. The end of our trip! So sad!!

You are not alone! I think we went there like...12 times on our last trip. I got the sushi set, a pick a pearl, and some Hello Kitty stuff. You could literally spend a year salary there...its kind of scary!

So, while I do intend to get through my index of posts that I have, I will warn you that majority of this week will be little mini updates of all the goodies arriving for our trip!! I think I have taken care of everything that we need for this trip so I can't wait to share with everyone!

Today's delivery from the post office guy...My amazing, super, unbelievable, cool, exactly what I dreamed of park bag arrived today. Words and pictures cannot do it justice.

I have always loved loved loved the functionality of Vera Bradley's hipster bags. Not something I would usually carry in my day to day life, (I carry a purse that you can put a small child inside of in lieu of a brief case) but for the parks, the hipster I think is perfect. That being said, I am usually not a fan of the patterns that she has.

So, enter D! The designer of the ultimate park bag, which truly is ultimate. I told her that I wanted something very simple on the outside, no applique. I wanted either solid navy on the outside with a blue/green inside, or khaki outside with pink/green inside. The khaki fabric available wasn't what she had hoped for so she went with blue/green (my favorite colors!)

So, without further delay...I present to you my bag!

I appologize in advance for my bag picture taking ability. Go figure that these ended up being good pictures of my engagement ring...because that is not what I was trying to photograph. Not so great pictures of the bag. Go figure. :confused3
Anyways, these do not do the bag justice!

Love your bag!!! I use a hipster pretty much every day actually, I love that it keeps my hands free. I was going to use my Vera hipster in the parks before Wingnut got me the Disney Dooney one for Christmas!

(Also, love your ring too! It's absolutely beautiful!)

Yay!!! I am so glad you got it and you like it! :) It was super fun to make, and to be honest, I really love how your bag turned out... I fell in love with those interior fabrics. :)
