We are coming to WDW for the first time Nov 7...we are a male 53 and female 51 and we have saved for 8 years for this trip...Disney has been a DREAM for me all my life...but...life got in the way...also son 24 and Girlfriend will be coming with us...maybe...just maybe we will be lucky enough to get a dream come true from Disney..my god …its almost time …a little over 2 weeks.to wax poetetically if I may...I used to watch "Wonderful World Of Disney" every Sunday as a child and young adult with dreams of going there some day...we are staying at CSR
All I can say is we have a count down going and CANNOT wait until Nov 7, 2007 at 5:30 am when we leave for WDW!!!!!:

When you return, tell us all about it! I love to hear about Disney through the eyes of a first-timer! You can even write a trip report and post it on the Trip Reports Board!

Have a great time!!!!

I hope you have a magical time at WDW while you are there. I wish I was joining you. It won't be until June till I get there. You will have a blast!!

Just got back from the CSR last month--Wow, what a beautiful resort--you are going to love it!! We were in Casita 4. This was the view from our room:

If you eat at the Maya Grill, think about getting the deep fried cheesecake. I thought that it didn't sound that great, but DH ordered it and let me try it. Yumm! I just wish that I had asked for the recipe.

I wish you all a wonderful time and a safe trip!!!

Have a wonderful time. We went to WDW in May with our dd and gdd in May. It was our first trip. It was magical for us and I know it will be for you.

Awwww---how exciting for you! I hope you have lots of pixiedust: moments. Here are a few things you can try to increase your magic (shhh--don't tell your traveling companions what you're up to and maybe they can be surprised with a few magical moments!:goodvibes )
1. Are you celebrating any events? Birthday, anniversary? Go to City Hall on Main Street in the MK and pick up a free pin.
2. Wear matching tshirts. You can pick them up at a Disney store, go to Disneyshopping.com, or get them at WDW. We always do this and have had many CMs make friendly and fun comments.
3. Get Guest of Honor badges made up right when you get there. (They're available at a store in MK and the Studios, as well as in DTD. Maybe elsewhere, too.) CMs will call you by name and add to the fun.
4. Ask to ride in the front car of the monorail.
5. Ask to ride in the front car of some of the thrill rides, especially Soarin' and Everest. CMs are happy to put you there, and the view is worth the sometimes extra wait. Last car is great on Big Thunder.
6. Talk to CMs. They are usually happy to chit chat. Be sure to let them know this is your first time ever in WDW!
7. Feel free to sing in the parks. After watching Wishes, we were on our way to a few more rides in Tomorrowland and were singing the Wishes theme song. As we passed a CM sweeping up the sidewalk, he joined in on the singing and we had a great time!

I'm sure there are other ideas that people could add, but those are all I could think of for now.
Have a most magical time, and do tell us all about it! :)

My friends and I will also be arriving on the 7th (but we're staying at SSR). Have fun!! Your first trip is always the most memorable - definitely get "1st time" buttons like someone mentioned in an earlier post.

If you are staying through the weekend - Super Soap Weekend is at MGM on the 10th & 11th. From what I understand it will be crowded, so if you are not soap fans - you might want to plan accordingly. :)

Oh yeah and did I mention...have fun! Hope you get lots of magic! pixiedust:

Have a great time. Remember to relax and enjoy yourself. And take lots of pictures. We want to see when you get back.

It is always exciting to have trip reports from first timers! Make sure you post when you get back just like others have said...

You probably have been overrun with "you must do this" statements so I will only add one...

Have a Dole Whip! It's my favorite thing to eat in the whole world and it will be at least two or three years before I can have one again! :)

I wish you a magical trippixiedust:

Please let us know how your trip went
Kerri

Make sure you give yourself an hour prior to MK parade so you get an excellent seat on the curb.

I hope you have a great trip and lots of wonderful memories

Our dream come true was last year - our "once-in-a-lifetime-trip" and here we are, going again in December! :cool1:

You are going to have a fabulous time. Plan a little bit so you'll be able to avoid standing on the sidewalk with a map saying "I don't know, where do you want to go?" ;) But don't plan too much, so you can stop and smell the roses...or the Main Street Bakery! :rotfl:

Just being there is going to be so magical; don't worry about being awarded something from the Dream Squad because you'll already be living your dream. :goodvibes

This is more of a 'Doing the Happy Dance - Trip Countdowns' board posting and .. I'll move it over there.. :)
