2 Weeks back - a slightly delayed Highs & Lows

Been back at work for two weeks, reopened our Etsy & Ebay businesses and things have just been crazy - still not finished my blog and still not done the traditional post on here!

So... here we go

20/10 to 4/11 - AKL, Disney Dream & RPR

HIGHS

• 
  The cruise - amazing! We did the 4 night Bahamas 27/10 to 31/10 - apparently we had the best weather of the month, the next cruise that went out tried to dock 4 times at Castaway Cay due to rough weather and did not manage it till 12.30!

• Swimming in the Sea at Castaway Cay and a Ray swimming below us

• Diagon Alley & Gringotts - so well done

• Getting a free upgrade to a Savannah view at AKL - we had Giraffes by our balcony every day!
• Not having the dining plan - we explored more offsite dining locations and had some fabulous food
• Watching the baby race on the cruise!
• Taking part in the Fish Extender gift exchange on the cruise
• No rain!
• Club level drinks at RPR - great servers and generous

LOWS
To be honest - aside from the really cold day on 1st November that messed up our relax by the pool afternoon I cannot think of anything that was really a low.

FastPass+ seemed efficient and worked and we were able to change things on the go - but I really noticed the difference with some quieter attractions being busier and I think the tiering in Epcot & HS is a pain - we only had 6 full Disney days due to the cruise so did not bother with Soarin and just rode Test Track and had to allocate two days of FastPass to Studios so that we could do ToyStory & RnR

Other than that - our best holiday yet!!

exactly what it sounds like...a baby race...on the Disney Dream...
it's hysterical because the play by play is done by one of the cruise staff....
a bunch of babies on the floor, and they're off..

We are first time cruisers on the same 4 night cruise next October - our dates are 26th - 30th October 2015.

Glad you had a great time. We are going the same time next year staying at AKL and then doing the 3 night dream cruise on the 30th. Can't wait!

Thanks for posting. Sounds great.

Interested to hear what the weather was like the rest of trip, as we thinking of going this time in couple of years time, noted the blizzard beach has closed in past week on 3/4 occasions due to not being warm enough and on the podcast the crew were saying its cold ( although I imagine Florida cold not uk cold )

Zoe, so glad you all enjoyed your first cruise. Did you rebook?

I keep meaning to do a 'highs and lows' since it is unlikely that I will be doing a trip report this time. The weather, I thought, was absolutely perfect though - lovely and warm, no humidity. Although I agree about the 1st November, it was a little chilly - that was our last day, though, so it didn't affect us really.

Really sorry we didn't get a chance to get together, we just kept missing each other. August for us next year, how about you?

Aww, we were on the same cruise too (wed on castaway cay ).
It was amazing wasn't it? The weather was perfect! Missed the baby race though!
