Hello folks,

OK, getting excited about planning my next trip to Disney 2011, yay!

We are either looking at September again or November to catch MVMCP, as long as the dates have free dining, we are there!

Anyways...what we thought would be cool is to stay at WL for one week then the GF for a week. Does anyone know if this is possible?

We want dining and 14day park tickets and preferably want to book with Disney UK again.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think there's some sort of problem with having the dining plan on a split stay, can't remember the exact ins and outs but hopefully someone more educated in the matter will come along soon :)

Thanks yeah, I had heard about this potential problem and wanted to see if anyone had successfully managed to do it?

The problem comes in with ticket. You have to buy tickets with your stay to get the DDP, whether free or paid for. If you do a split stay, you will have 2 reservations and will have to buy two lots of tickets - one per person for each restervation. Since the cheapest ones you can get are 5 day Premiums, it is going to cost you a LOT more than a 14 day ultimate and the Premium tickets have more restrictions on them.

US guests have an easier time as they can buy length of stay ticket for the first reservation to use throughout both stays and just get a one day base ticket to qualify for dining on the second reservation. One day tix, if not used, never expire and can be upgraded to other tickets in the future. I have toyed with the idea of split stay a few times but would definitely book the second reservation with Disney US if I did.

The problem is that you would have to book 2 separate hotel and ticket packages for each hotel stay to get free dining. So you would have to buy tickets you don't need, so not really free dining.

So If I book a weeks stay at say SSR with 8 day base ticket then a week at AKL with a 1 day base ticket would I get free dining for the 2 weeks? I have done a split stay before but paid for DDP the second week. Never thought of booking through US site like this. Im not good at working out if US is a better deal either.

Yes but the US have just increased the ticket minimum to 2 day base this year. It certainly makes it less attractive but still do-able depending how long you stay at the second resort you will save over buying the DDP.

You may even get a discount with the us and depending on your party / room type might save you more even with paying for the DDP

As others have said, not possible with a Disney UK booking.
You have to either stay in 1 resort or buy 2 lots of tickets to get DDP in both resorts.

If you are a fairly regular visitor to Disney - or at least have serious intentions of returning - then the 2 day base ticket, which can be upgraded, is something I would just treat as a ticket downpayment for another trip.

We are splitting a 21 night stay over 4 resorts.

Decided against DDP having weighed it up against the tables in wonderland card.

You need an AP to buy the card, but you might be worth looking at the American rates etc.

I know September can have great AP room rates too (45% discount on Deluxes!)

The only problem with the AP rates is you have to wait so long before they are released. I am still waiting for the October - December 2010 rates to be released :headache:. They are not guaranteed either and there are blackout days. I have read there have been complaints that "standard" or "garden" rooms have not been discounted recently either.
