One about the DDP, one in general....

Okay, if we do the DDP... I am going to try to make reservations for a couple of dinner shows, that according to what I've read, they take your credit card number, it's a "real reservation"-- you know what I mean, like doing HoopDeeDoo or Cindy's. If we are on dining plan, do they still want the cc#? And if so, do they put a hold on the $$ or anything, or is it just there to guarantee you'll show? Will they take a debit card instead? (like a Visa one)

Second... if we go to a park in the morning, take an afternoon nap break, and go back to the same park after the break, we don't need a Park Hopper, right? As long as it's the same park? They'll know when we go in?

#1...I believe they will take a debit card(if it has like a visa logo on it)...it is like a ressie-you will be charged only if you don't show. If you show it comes right off you DDP(I have had no problems with this)

#2 No park Hop needed...(are they still doing the hand stamp...haven't noticed in the past 2 trips?"

No hand stamp any longer, but yes, you can re-enter the park you were in earlier in the day without a park hopper (unless it has reached capacity).

To reenter the same park you use your park ticket and send it through the machine and do the finger print scan. Just like the first time you went into the park.

As for the ressie you will need a credit card to hold it. They will then just subtract the TS credit from your DDP and not charge the credit or debit card.

Enjoy your trip!

Cool.

I thought that was right, but you know I'd hate to *assume* and then be wrong, about either question. ;)

Always a good policy (look how the hand stamp changed and I didn't even notice;) ) That's why I love coming here...someone will know the answer!!!

Have a great trip

We just set our ressies for our trip in Nov. We have a giant group of 12 in our party, so I don't know if its group specific or the way they do it now. We only had to provide a CC# for Cindy's but Hoop Dee Doo, took our money. They charged our credit card. We will have to confirm our ressies and then get our DDP, once we have that we call Disney Dining and then they will credit our card then we can get our tickets to the show...whew.

But thats what I was told.

When I called earlier this week for reservations for my ddp to the Hoop Dee Doo, I did have to give them a credit card. She explained that it would not be charged or issue a hold on the card. The only way they would charge it is if I don't show up and do not cancel more then 48 hours in advance.
