Long story short... we drive to WDW but I have a work event I will need to attend while my family is having fun. My intent was to rent a car for the week so my family can use our car to get around. And yes they need it as we do not limit ourselves to just the resort or Disney Parks! Horrific, I know! o_O So, my question is ...can I park both vehicles at the DVC resort or will they have me park one of the vehicles somewhere else?

Yes.

The only real exception is if you are staying in a Treehouse Villa. That location really only has space for 1 vehicle per treehouse. Any additional vehicles are supposed to be parked over at the main resort (SSR).

Yeah...we are at VGF. I should have mentioned that...sorry! But Thank you for the quick response!

Last time I stayed at VGF (Sep 2016), I was given a paper parking pass at the guard shack. If they are still doing that when you arrive, you can ask for another. There is a check in area in the VGF lobby that operates from 7 am to 10 pm daily. Outside of those hours, the front desk at the GF operates 24/7.

Last March we were in a 2BR Villa at VGF. We were in 1 car. My son-in-law, daughter, and grandson were in another car, and my other daughter from another city was in a third car. It was absolutely no problem.

They go back and forth on whether they issue the paper pass. Sometimes, they just scan your magic band. Other times the give you the pass. I haven't figured out a pattern.
