We are planning a stay at POR. There are 2 adults, ds6, ds5, dd2, & new baby about 9 months. We are contemplating bringing my niece16 to help with the kids. If we bring her will we still be able to fit in one AB room? Having 2 under 2 is throwing me off.

Wow, my first thought is that sounds like a really jam-packed room! Good question about the 2 under 2, plus you already have 5 counting the niece, so that would be a total of 7 bodies in the room. I'm not sure if it's allowed or not; I'm sure someone here knows. Reports of the murphy bed are that while it's bigger than the trundle bed that used to be available, it's still short for older teens.

Other options are 2 rooms at a value resort, which may be less expensive. Or a family suite at ASMu or AoA, or a cabin at FW holds 6 (and I presume 1 under 2 would be allowed in addition to the 6).

Good luck and enjoy your vacation!

The rule there at POR is five people of any age, plus one under three in a crib.

The 2 under 2 plus the niece makes you one over the limit.

And I agree with the PP - all of those folks in one room sounds very squished, especially since we all know you can't travel with babies without a bit of luggage. :crowded:

I'd consider a suite at AoA or the FW Cabins with that many folks. I think bringing your niece would be a good idea with the little ones.

We stayed in a POR AB room when are oldest 4 were very close in ages to your children. IIRC, ours were 6,4,2 and 9 months. I wouldn't say we had a lot of space but it was fine. Adding your niece, would unfortunately, bump you out of the AB rooms. If you go with AB without your niece, definitely request a ground floor room. There are no elevators in the AB buildings and we had to carry our double stroller up and down the stairs. That was a pain!

Only one of the babies will not count towards occupancy rules. So you have six plus one under the age of three if you bring your niece.

You need somewhere that sleeps six plus one.
