So excited! We were at the world this past summer with my husband's entire family. 13 of us in all. We had a blast! Unfortunately, my husband couldn't be there because he was deployed to the Middle East. He was very sad. I tried to convince his mother it was because he was missing his family, but we all know he was just missing Splash Mountain.
He came home not long ago and we decided to plan a spring break trip somewhere to celebrate. Since we live in Fort Worth now we were thinking of going to San Antonio since neither of us has ever been. We were just about settled on it and he decided to look at Disney just to see. What was the worst that could happen?
We can't afford it and go to San Antonio and have a great time.
Well we totally COULD afford it!
Thanks to the AWESOME military discounts Disney is currently offering on rooms and tickets we were surprised to find that we could swing six days at a mod for us and our two kids.
But it gets better. As I was reaching for the phone to call and make reservations my phone rang and it was my mother-in-law. (On a Disneyphile scale of 1-10 she's easily an 8.5) Her mouse ears must have been burning! I excitedly told her about our plans and asked her about ways she'd told her kids they were going when they were younger. As we chatted I could hear her typing on the computer, but didn't think much of it. After we talked for about 20 minutes I told her I needed to go so I could book our room and she said, "No you don't. I'm fixing to book you in a 1 bedroom at Saratoga Springs with my dvc points right now. I mean if you want me to." IF I WANT YOU TO?!?
Yes please and thank you ma'am!
I'm feeling so lucky to have him home, have a kind and generous family, and to be feeling the magic in 36 days!
