2 Table Service Aloha or 1900 Park Fayre & Ohana for dinner or Wolfgang Puck Cafe

Cannot decide to use two table services on Spirit of Aloha or do the two (one table service) restaurants.

What would you do?

We did Hoop Dee Doo Review instead of 2 table service last August, value for ding credits,there is not a lot of difference (especially if you have a few drinks) as the dinner shows include alcohol and gratuities.
We have done Hoop twice now, doing it again this August on DDP, still can't decide if we want to try Spirit of Aloha, we like fully airconned dining, not sure about it.
As for others you know we didn't enjoy 1900 park fare, Ohanas we really like.

Ohana's reviews are brill, and I did want to put it on the list ... the rest of the gang think there is not much choice re the foods !

We have done Hoop and really enjoyed it and would recomend for a dinner show.

I have not read very good reports of Alhoas food and the show gets really mixed reviews too. We might try it one day but certainly in no rush.

Hi,
We did Spirit of Aloha last year. We thought it was something we wouldn't pay OOP to see, and it's an evenings' entertainment, includes drinks (wine and beer, though the rose wasn't that good! DH was OK with his Bud!), and the gratuity is included aswell.
The thing to remember is it is subject to the weather being OK, although it is mainly under cover. The night we were booked for, there was torrential rain from about 5pm; and I had to phone every half hour untill 7.30 to find out if they were going ahead! Then, as we were at OKW, we had to get there, though they did save our seats!
The food was OK, though the dessert was pretty yuk! DS is a total chocaholic, and even he couldn't eat it!
The show was pretty good, very loud though, and (in our opinion) went on a bit too long! It's great if you like alot of hoola dancing and drums!
It was an OK eve, and as I said we were glad we did it, it was an experience, but we won't be going back!
We also did 1900 Park Fayre. DS, DD1 and I all really enjoyed it, and thought the entertainment was great! DH didn't rate the food or the venue; but enjoyed the interaction with the characters. DD2 really hated the food, and actually couldn't find anything to eat at all!
I have to agree with Wayne though that you are crammed in, and we waited over an hour past our reservation time to be seated. Luckily we had a really early reservation, but it still messed up the rest of the evening.
Ohana's is actually on our list to try this year. After seeing Waynes' photos, we really regretted not going!

Not too sure now on Aloha .... Hoop do Hoo looks maybe more my sort of show ....... still cant decide if I will think worth two TS tho

Tried to do the Spirit of Aloha in Aug 2007, but was rained off due to major thunder storm, rushed into Poly and booked a table in the restaurant that night and it was a great night - we got leis and taught how to dance. As our bill arrived, we had the perfect seat for watching Wishes! Eventually saw Spirit last August and thoroughly enjoyed the evening - the food was scrummy and plentiful, the show was excellent and as we left, we watched Wishes from the beach at Poly.

We went to Hoop-Dee-Doo in 2003 and really not our thing - it was freezing inside the hall and the show was like an American version of an old time musical - not our cup of tea at all - but everyone is different!

Haven't done the Hoop Dee Doo quite a few years ago but haven't tried it since. Haven't done the Spirit of Aloha I'm afraid but we did do Wolfgang Pucks twice last year in August and loved it.
We turned up just before the lunch and dinner service and were seated with no problems at all. Within half an hour of opening they were full and it looks like quite a few locals use it too.
Next time I will try a salad as somebody at a table nearby had one and it was huge. The food was delicious and the desrets (which you can see in a chiller when you are going to your seats) are delicious.
