2 specific FP+ questions

I'm sure these are covered somewhere but...

1) Say you have 3 FP+ at Epcot.. Test Track, Living with the Land and Spaceship Earth. You go to Test Track. Then you're done w/2 FP+ left and want to reschedule...does it let you reschedule to either TT again or to another 'higher tier' ride like Maelstrom or Soarin?

2) You have 3 FP+ at AK. You use 2. Then you don't use the 3rd. Later in the evening you go to another park. Will you be able to reschedule for a FP+ at the other park while you are physically there like you can with the 4th FP+ or would you not be able to because you only used 2?

Thanks!

According to the way it is supposed to work...

1. You could not re-schedule for another top tier attraction before your final FP (whether used or not) time has passed. At that point, you are supposed to be able to reserve, one at a time, whatever ride might be available.

2. Once the official timeframe for your first three FP's has passed, you can then get your additional one(s), whether in the same or a different park. Accordingly, with a strategy of park-hopping or just riding as much as possible at a single park in one day, the best bet seems to be to schedule the first three FP's as early as possible so that, whether you use all three original ones or not, the timeframe will pass sooner and you can then hop to the other park and start getting FP's there.

Again, that is the theory. How it is working in real life probably remains to be seen as this new process continues to get its kinks worked out.

Just like Kimosabe said it's all about availability and timing... Generally, if you're at Epcot and you've already used your 3 FP+ for the day, it will already be about noon, which means (most likely) that none of the higher tier rides will be available, or if they are available, it will be very late in the day. So definitely try to get your first three FP+ as early as possible that way you can use additional FP+ later. (For example, when you're at DHS, try not to get Fantasmic as your top tier FP+ because you can't get the additional one later).

So far, it's working out pretty well in the parks from what I've seen, but there are some people who aren't really seeing the potential in FP+ and are getting angry. That makes me sad :(

1. No, in your first 3 you can have only one Tier 1 ride. Even if you use that you can't get another until you use all 3.

2. Yes. You don't have to use them all but they do have to expire. (if the window for the third one hasn't passed yet, it must pass before you can book the 4th)

However, for #1, if you have the MDE app, you could:

- immediately after passing the 2nd Mickey-head sensor, reschedule FP #2 to the current hour.

- after riding TT, go to the Land and ride (or just check in and leave without riding, your choice). Then reschedule FP#3 for the current hour (if available).

- go to SE and ride. If you're fast (and if early FPs were available for Land and SE), you may be able to do all of this within the first hour at the park. And now you've used all 3 FPs and can go to a kiosk to schedule another Tier 1 FP.

Remember to scan the list of available FP times on the app carefully - they are not in order, so you could see several PM availabilities and then see an early morning slot. This fooled me the first couple of times I looked.

If you don't have a smartphone or the app, you can also do this via the kiosks, it'll just take a bit longer.

I cannot see the FP+ reservation screens yet because my ticket is part of a package so I am sorry for what might seem a silly question.

After we pass the second Mickey head scanner and pull up FP+, will be able to see available times to change the 2nd/3rd FP+ to before we commit to the change? Or do we have to "lose" our pre-reserved times to take a chance to move times up?

Thanks!

No, will get a chance to review available times first. If there is a better time, you may choose it and confirm. Only then do you actually make the change.

You don't change anything just by looking. The app is very good about that.
