2 "Singles" v 1 "Double" Park Strollers

Thanks for your help before, but I'm hopeful that you can help me narrow my stroller choices a little more. I didn't have any luck searching for this particular question amongst the other stroller threads.

I'm trying to decide whether my DW and I should rent one double stroller or two single strollers for my 3.5 yr old boy (44 inch, 42 lbs) and 6 yr old boy (52 inch, 58 lbs). We are not sure how much our 6 year old will need it, but he will likely need it some, especially at EPCOT. Both are big and active kids. Should we get the single when we arrive and go back and add another if our oldest needs it? Or should we get one double that is likely more difficult to maneuver and more expensive (after 5 days) so that we don't have to back-track?

Any suggestions?

I would just get the double, especially at Epcot, where there is tons of walking. That's what we did when our two oldest were 5 and 3, and then again when they were 6 and almost 4. If a kid is not in there, then you have plenty of storage for your stuff. I did not think they were that hard to manage and yes, they do cost a little more, but it's cheaper than two singles. At MK, it is easier to manage with a single since the attractions are much closer together.

It also depends on how your kids react being right next to each other LOL. I know mine were constantly pestering each other....so much so that we got to Germany at Epcot and I asked the CM to exchange the dual stroller for two single strollers ROFL. I never saw a CM move so quickly. ROFL maybe it was the smoke bellowing out of my ears from dealing with...HES TOUCHING ME!!!!!......HES LOOKING AT ME!!!!.....HES DOING THIS OR HES DOING THAT!!!! for over an hour LOL. I was however very nice to the CM when I asked her to exchange them LOL. My three year old mainly rides along in the stroller....the seven year old will jump in and out. It's a lot of walking for them so I don't mind renting the stroller for my older boy.

We bring our own, but we always bring 2 strollers, in case we want to split up at any time. For instance, my dd wanted to go on Peter Pan's Flight, ds wanted Pooh ride, so we split up with the kids, and took them on the rides, then met back up at a meeting place in Fantasyland. I don't know if you split up at all, but its helpful to us to have that option.
