So I don't know if I am just over thinking this but here I go....

Traveling with a 21 month old (very active, strong, little boy) and a 7 month old girl

At the moment I had planned to bring their double jogging stroller. That way we have it airport as well as parks. It has trays in front of them. I can totally see my son being in and at a good amount by just giving his grandfather the look. I have started thinking what if she is sleeping and he wakes her up or either one reaching over annoying the other.

Do you think it would be better to have two separate strollers? I am not worried about pushing two strollers as we will have 5 adults with us.

Any experiences? Opinions?

Take 2 strollers. Double strollers are a pain in crowded places.

Two strollers. What if you want to split up? If you have the extra hands, definitely two rather than the double.

Thanks for the help! That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure if I making a wrong choice

We've done both ways and there are advantages / disadvantages to both. When we take two it's sometimes easier to get thru crowds but usually never get to walk next to each other. This time we are doing a double since i like everyone walking closer together. Doubles are a bit tougher on the busses to get in, but it was worse for us with a baby, toddler and two strollers.

We find the double stroller to be better. That way if one adult needs to go off somewhere (say the bathroom) than the other parent is not stuck with one stroller. We even did this when we had other adults with us. Plus the kids actually entertain each other a bit, even at a young age. But yes, a double is harder to navigate.

With 2 adults I would say the double, totally. But, with 5 adults, all of whom will be willing to push 2 singles would be good for maneuvering. The only thing that would make me think double would be if 4 of the adults will be riding the coasters and leaving one person to care for both kids, in that event, the double has the advantage.

As a twin mom, I've only ever had double strollers, so they aren't all that intimidating or annoying to me.
