2 Seperate reservations...

I have a week in a 2 bdrm villa at SSR (dedicated 2 bdrm). I am thinking about adding a day to this reservation...to save a bit on airfare

The original reservation is a RCI exchange and the second reservation (one night) would be a DVC reservation.

What are the chances that this reservation would be linked and I would be able to stya in the same room as moving 3 kids might not be worth it...

I have done this before with 3 seperate reservations at BWV, and they were able to be "linked"...was I just lucky that time??

What would you do?

Call and see what MS can do. I have 2 weeks in a 2BR at BCV via RCI and I just called to have them link the 2 separate reservations so I don't have to move rooms mid trip. I'm sure they will try their best if you have the same room type.

My discussions with DVC would suggest this was not directly possible with II but it is with RCI. I don't know why it'd be different but they said it was. However, you have to book the same unit type. I'd call DVC MS exchange departement and have them book the additional night and link them to be sure there are no avoidable issues.
