What would you do? We are 4 adults and 3 children (14, 9, 22 mos)...we are going June 4 through June 10. Would you get 2 rooms or the 2 BR villa. The villa is only 371.11 more than the 2 rooms. Any input would be great! Thanks!

It really depends on your relationship with everyone. I have friends that go with us and we get two rooms.......When I go with my sister and her family we get either connecting or a villa.....(a 22 month old unless it's yours can by pretty trying)....Also, with 2 rooms you can have some down time away from everyone...either way you are in Disney and cannot help but have a great time!

If it were my dh/children plus mil it would be the villa, if it were my family plus sil and her family it would be separate rooms.

It all depends on the relationship. I would want the kitchen for the children (juice, milk, etc.) but not if it meant being in the same place with sil!

The cool thing about the villa is the separate bedrooms plus living room. If you all get along pretty well then there are spaces for individual downtime but your together and can assist if needed.

Take Care!

As others have said it depends on how well you all get along.

We have done it both ways for different reasons.

But if it is just a Cost thing then I would pay the extra money and get the 2bdroom so much room and a common area just can't be beat. You can save a good bit with a few grocery runs as well.

The nice thing about the villa is the common room, where no one os sleeping. So you can put the kids to bed and still be up watching Tv or playing Yatzee or whatever. The kitchen is also very handy with the toddler and kids for snacks and even a few light meals in the room.

But like everyone else as posted how well does everyone get along? If its the villa or two adjoining rooms, get the villa. If you want to be seperate, then be seperate in the two rooms.

If it were me I would go with the villa.

  • Full kitchen in the 1 bedroom area plus a kitchenette in the studio portion.
  • King size bed in the master bedroom
  • Living room for hanging out in
  • Washer and dryer so you don't have to pack as many clothes (I have gone to WDW for a week in the summer with just a carry-on becasue of the washer).

I so miss my villa days...

The allears pics of the 2 bedroom BCV villas show a single queen bed in the 2nd bedroom. Is that true for all 2 bedrooms there? Wanted to point it out in case it mattered to OP.

I would probably go with the villa. I think the bedrooms would be a queen and sleeper sofa in one, and a king in the other (unless you get a designated unit). But then you would have a jacuzzi tub and a kitchen! Can't beat that! There may be a link on wdwinfo to look at room floor plans. That might help with the decision. Or allearsnet has a bunch of photos you could look at. I usually go there when I can't decide where to stay.

We had this situation last year for our Christmas trip. Got a great discount and booked the 2-bedroom BCV the previous January. A few months later I started having second thoughts and looked "just to see" if we could get 2 rooms at the YC for the same time period. They were available (at the same discount :) ) so then I had to make a decision. After posting the question here and reading the replies, I decided to stick with the villa.

This was our first stay at the BCVs (our first stay at any of the DVCs) ~ yes, it was nice. But ... We all really just missed the 'feeling' of being at a resort hotel, especially the YC. Villas vs resort-side is just a completely different atmosphere. All depends upon what you like. For us, we'll stick with the YC! :)

We had 7 in our party and just got back from our stay in a 2bd villa at BCV. We loved our room which also included 3 TV's, 3 patios and 2 bathrooms.

There are definitely different bed configurations so if that's important to you, you'll need to check it out. Our villa had a king in the master bedroom, a queen & sleeper sofa in the 2nd bedroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in the main room. The sofa beds were all new and very comfortable. Some of the 2BD villas have 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom.

The kitchen area isn't that large (and we didn't have 2 as another poster experience), but we absolutely enjoyed having a quick breakfast in our room every morning vs having to go out to eat. In addition, we stocked up on fresh fruit and when we came back in the afternoon, we really enjoyed digging into the watermelon and chowing down on grapes.

That type on configuration is all that is available to non DVC members booking any 2 bedroom at BCV paying cash through Disney. The 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom are only available for DVC members staying on points. So, just realize with all the extra space you'll only have two real beds wtih two connecting rooms, you'll have less space, but 6 real beds (4 queens, 2 day beds). As a DVC member I'm biased. so I'd go with the villa......

Well lets see i had a 2 bedroom villa at BC in jan for 5 ppl and it worked out well. master bedroom had king bed, living room had sofa sleeper and the bedroom had 2 queen beds. we also thought it would be king of crowded but it worked ot pretty well could have easily fit another 2 people. i would go with the villa. own $.02 :thumbsup2
