Help! I have a jr. suite booked at WL in late Sept for our family of 5 (three boys: 15, 12, 6). With the new codes, I can get 2 BRs, connecting, at BWI for the same price. Should I let the jr. suite go and book the BWI? I have never stayed at BWI and don't know what to request. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Welcome to the DIS!

I would go for the 2 rooms at BWI. You will end up with more room all around, plus 2 bathrooms and separate bedrooms so that there is some privacy for everyone. The BW area is great! Walk to Epcot, boat/walk to MGM. Plus all the restaurants and entertainment of the boardwalk itself. ESPN Club is right there which the boys might enjoy!
We had a standard view. We sort of faced the parking lot, but could see the eiffel tower from our balcony. This meant we could watch and hear some of Illuminations right from our room. It seems like a lot of the standard rooms at BWI offer a partial view of Illuminations. So don't be afraid to get that if money is tight. Of course if you can swing it, a boardwalk view is always great!

hi: our youngest is 15, and he prefers the bwv to wl for the location. we've stayed at the wl several times and love the relaxing atmosphere there; but we do prefer the bw. as previously posted, it has quite a bit to offer.

I loved our Jr. Suite at the WL and would almost always recommend that if you had less people. Two rooms at BWI would be about 780 square feet with two bathrooms and four beds. The Jr. Suite would be 500 square feet with one bathroom. I love the setting of the WL but the BWI is real pretty (not quite as inviting for Teenaged boys) and the location is great.

Definitely go for the two rooms at BWI! We stayed in a Junior Suite at WL in December 2000, our boys were 14 and 11 at the time. It was very nice but the JS are not that roomy. This time for our up coming trip in August we are getting two connecting rooms at the Yacht Club. You can't beat the location and I think it's perfect for teen boys with the BW and Epcot in walking distance, just to name a few. I would stay at BWI, but DH wanted YC and I think I will love Stormalong Bay! Have a great trip!!
