I have two rooms reserved for August.
One will be my dad and her friends can she set up her own my Disney experience .
I am thinking it will be less of a headache if they do their own thing.
Thoughts?

Yes, they can have their own MDE account and link their room reservation to it.

You can also connect with them so that you (or they) can make plans for everyone. The easiest way to do that is for them to create their MDE account and link their room reservation. Once that's done you can use the Import from a Disney Reservation option on the Add a Guest page on your Family & Friends list.
